A really good retro-looking BT speaker

It has three dials: an on/off dial that also controls the volume, and a dial for bass and one for treble. Next to the on/off button is a Bluetooth on/off button which – when held down for a few seconds – puts the speaker into BT pairing mode. I paired it to both a Note 4 and a Pixel 2 XL phone. Easy as pie. It paired to both without any problem. The sound is quite good. For giggles, I wanted to see how far I could move the phone from the speaker before losing connectivity, and at one point was way across the house with no loss. Not too shabby. The appearance of this speaker – a cool retro look - takes me back to my youth. Physically, it is large compared to other portable speakers at 9” wide, 6+” high, and 5.5” deep. I also tried turning the sound as loud as it could go, and quite remarkably it showed no distortion at full volume. I tried different genre types, with Rock and the Blues both at full volume. No distortion with either. Adjusting up the bass had a much more noticeable effect on the music than did adjusting treble - by a fair amount. I haven’t had an opportunity to check out the speaker’s battery capacity of 20 hours, so I can’t speak to that. I wouldn’t expect to use it more than 3 to 4 hours at any given time, so 20 hours is going to be more than enough when using it on battery only. Overall, I like this speaker. I believe it deserves a hardy thumbs up.
