Did not have to read the manual to know how to use this. Excellent voice quality

I bought this as a gift for my son and he loved the sound quality.

I am not going to write a long review as I will get right to the point. I have been looking and trying all the top reviewed bluetooth and wifi speakers on the market. Sony, Sonos, Harman Kardon, JBL, Amazon Echo, UE Megaboom and of course Bose. I wanted something, not too big, but spectacular looking and sounding for the bedroom. I finally found it in the Marshall Kilburn 2. This is a gorgeous piece of electronic history. The resemblance to a guitar amp and microphone from the Seventies is spot on. The sound that comes out of this bluetooth 5 Aptx speaker is exhilarating no matter what the genre. I have this unfortunate problem of being very critical when it comes to audio/video equipment. This speaker, paired with a bluetooth 5 Aptx smartphone or tablet gives absolute auditory satisfaction. The people at Marshall R & D need to be sincerely thanked. To put a portable, consumer grade bluetooth speaker on the market for the masses has been a dream come true. The sound is crisp and airy in the highs and tonally correct in the mids. The bass is thunderous when needed, and very accurate at moderate volume levels too. Its a beautifully crafted sounstage. You really need to hear this, audition it, to believe it. No this speaker cannot be dropped in the pool, but it can take a splash. My ears will never be the same again. Yes to all of you that have taken the time to read this review. Yes to all the Best Buy sales representatives I've dealt with over and over. We finally found a true winner here. The Marshall Kilburn 2 bluetooth speaker has, my mind, officially blown!

It would not charge at all, practically useless and a waste of good money. It was open box, excellent condition until it isn’t. Buyers beware!

Bought this for my husband it worked great for about 6 months then died. No biggie deal I had purchased the insurance. Received replacement and purchased insurance again. 6 months later it was dead again. This is poorly mad with materials that will not withstand more than a few months of play. Too bad because it sounds awesome.

If you want an iconic good looking bluetooth speaker, look no further. The Kilburn 2 packs a punch for get-togethers. Everyone recognizes the Marshall brand, and the Kilburn 2 delivers ear bleeding sound for such a small speaker. The Bass, Treble, and volume controls allow you to customize the sound profile of the music playing and gives a nostalgic feeling/look. The carrying handle has a nice red felt underside which helps with carrying the speaker and giving it a pop of color. Also, The battery indicator is red, which complements the carrying handle. Again, the aesthetics on this speaker have no equal. We will be displaying the Kilburn 2 on our bookshelf when not in use. Pros: -Phenomenal sound that you can tailor to your needs (bass and treble control) -Aesthetics are iconic -Water resistant (good for pool side and the beach) Cons: -Not as portable as other bluetooth speakers.

This speaker when it works properly is great. The volume is average, I expected a louder speaker. Over all quality is average. For some reason the speaker disconnects from phone then reconnects

I love this retro, cool looking speaker. It doesn't just look good, but it sounds great! I wish there was a charging port for your phone, but that's ok, I can live without it :) I love the bass, treble adjustments included on the actual speaker. It really makes a difference. Its a perfect size to take a long to the park so that's great! The sound quality is great! I love everything about this speaker. I've heard such great things about the Marshall brand and I am truly impressed. I own several other speakers, but this will def. be my number 1 go to speaker from now on.

Don’t mean to sound like a Karen but this thing is one of the worst experiences with audio I’ve ever had. I had it shipped to my home address and got a refurbished one in the mail. I did not select refurbish. Sorry Best Buy but I picked new. Second I got a new one when I sent it to the store and very frequently it looses frequency like out-a touch with my Bluetooth frequently. I’m not a sound magician but I sure with this product had a product replacement not a product repair for its warranty

The Marshall Kilburn is a great antique looking and great-sounding Bluetooth speaker. We will immediately fall in love with the Kilburn’s design as this is a product of pure nostalgia. The Kilburn, has the feel of a "real" Marshall with the housing, the speaker cover, and the control knobs and switches all inspiring confidence for a reasonably long lifetime even under demanding environmental conditions. It has the most rock solid bluetooth of any device we've ever owned. Bluetooth connection was quite simple and I got my phones connected to the speaker. Sound quality - I also like that it comes with a bass and a treble tuning knob so one can fine-tune the sound depending on speaker placement and personal preference. I set the bass and treble to 50% and the sound had the perfect powerful bass, shimmering highs and a good sense of space. Battery - The battery lasts quite a while between charges if you simply remember to power it off each time when you're finished listening, and charges fairly quickly. Usually takes a couple of hours when the battery is completely depleted. Great product! Classy!

I’ve been really happy with the Marshall Kilburn II. It delivers loud, clear sound with strong bass, long battery life, and a stylish, classic design. It’s solid and reliable for home or outdoor use, though a bit heavy to carry around. Overall, it’s a great choice if you want powerful sound with a premium look.

The fact that I own three Marshall guitar amps, Marshall NC earbuds and four Marshall portable speakers speaks volumes for their quality and sound. They just nail it! The Kilburn is nice and compact but gets loud with clear, clean sound no matter what type of music. Great product.

I just can’t understand why such a huge size speaker can only play music for just 4 hours?? And in a low voice??

Straight trash, of a contraption, after just 6 months of use this piece of junk just completely went dead and from what I understand, this is not the first time this has happened with this brand...

The sound quality is okay, nothing to write home about no loud enough, it sounds muffles not the best compare to my Studio 6 and Vifa Oslo.

This is by far the best sounding box in its class . Awesome lows and highs even at low volume battery life is great . Perfect for patio or deck. This will fill your backyard with music without killing your neighbors! Highly recommended!
