Good Sound, Poor User Convenience

It's not excessively bassy and I like the Bluetooth/wired feature that automatically mutes my ham radio on the wired line whenever I get bluetooth sound from the computer. However, Bluetooth will not stay connected with my iPad so I have to used wired. In addition, I don't like the auto-shut off feature when plugged into AC power. I have to turn it off and back on if there is a long period of silence. There should be a way to override this.

There shouldn't be any Bluetooth connection issues with your iPad, don't hesitate to reach out to the Support Team if you want to troubleshoot this or receive some assistance. The Standby Mode is built-in to all Marshall Speakers and isn't a feature that can be modified or turned off, but we love the feedback and will take it into consideration.

The second one to connect blows away the first. There is no way to stop it. So if somebody else at the party wants to cut into your speaker it’s no problem. You’ll need to have a friend who can connect along with you so that nobody else can cut in

Have you tried the Tufton, maybe a larger speaker with a bigger output capacity is more suitable to your use? Before it died, I would have given it 5 stars. The sound is excellent compared to all other bluetooth speakers of the same size. But the price point is a little more, so I would except the product to last longer than 1.5 years.

Okay-ish speaker

Posted .Hello Olbu, thank you for the review. If you are used to the Woburn, it is understandable that you are noticing the different output capabilities of the Kilburn II. The Kilburn II has an SPL rating of 100.4 dB SPL @ 1 m in comparison to the Woburn II Bluetooth's 110 dB @ 1 m SPL rating. If you are looking for more, we recommend trying the Tufton. It is the largest portable speaker with an SPL rating of 102 dB SPL @ 1 m.
