Initially, I went in to my local Best Buy to buy a Bose speaker. But after hearing this Marshall, I had to have it. Great low end bass for its size.

after being thrilled with the results from buying a Marshall Stanhope speaker, I thought I would try the next size smaller. I love everything about the speaker, it just does not go loud enough.

I don’t know where people are getting the 5 star reviews. I own both this and a Bose soundtouch 30 (comparable model) and also own the Marshall Stanmore and Bose soundtouch 40. Both this model and the Stanmore only sound good if you’re listening to classic rock. Both systems get staticky and sound distorted when listening to today’s music or anything with bass. Even with the bass turned down, the sound easily gets distorted. Do they look good? Sure. Are they a conversation piece? Sure. But these reviews are based solely on looks. These speakers sound good with classic rock. But they require a lot of tweaking on the bass and treble knobs to get the sound just perfect. Unlike a lot of other systems. And as for loudness, this system just isn’t that loud. It claims it’s the loudest in its class. But they must be comparing themselves to $30 speakers from TJ maxx. These aren’t gonna blow you away. They will muffle near the top of the volume and sound distorted. Now does that mean I’ll return them? No. They sound good in a small room but they are nothing to brag about if you feel like taking it to the beach or want to play it by the pool. As a matter of fact, I used this on the beach and I could barely hear it with the volume all the way up because just the sound of the waves was overpowering these tiny speakers. I own two Marshall speakers so I know I didn’t get a bad one. Both sound muffled with newer music and don’t really sound that great with older music unless you sit there and tweak the heck out of the bass and treble knobs. Most other systems are just plug and play. If you want to look “cool”, sure, get this speaker. But that’s about all it’s good for. Stop giving it 5 star reviews it doesn’t deserve. And as for Bluetooth, it went out on this one within a month and on my Stanmore after 4 uses. So you will have issues with that down the road. They do honor the warranty and fix them, but it is a hassle.

This is by far the best portable speaker you can get for the money very happy with it. highly recommend it!!!

The Marshall Kilburn is very useful for us everyday in doing Zumba exercise. Sound is very good and the price is reasonable.

We purchased this speaker just to have music for a small reunion. The sound works great, but once you get into bassier music the sound will cut out some. Overall the little speaker puts out really good sound! Better than the Bose speakers we have experienced.

The speaker was very pricey but was cheaper than buying it down marshal online. But holy wow it has the best sound and is well worth it!
