This headset has great sound quality. I really like the way they fold down. They are lightweight and look nice. I only wish they were more comfortable on the ears.
The sound quality is excellent. They are not noise cancelling so they are safe to wear out where you need to be able to hear what is around you while still getting clear excellent audio.
They fold down into themselves making it easy to put in a bag or purse without worrying about them getting tangled or squashed by your other things possibly breaking them.
The battery is long lasting on a charge.
They are lightweight and the head band is comfortable for long periods of wearing.
The only reason I'm not giving this headset a 5 star rating is the ear cups. They are small. They don't really cup the ear, they set on the ear. Using them for a short time is okay, but they aren't really comfortable for long wearing periods. I don't usually wear a headset long periods anyway so I'm very pleased with these though I do wish they cupped around my ears for better comfort. YMMV.

The Marshall Major V headphone is great for just about anyone with the right head size. It’s ultra comfy around the ears, adjustable and light. It can be easily folded and tucked in for easy toting.
The sound quality is great and I love the sensitivity of the mic when Speaking on my cell phone while using the Marshall Major V. I can speak at a low tone and even my family members with moderate hearing loss can hear me without my need to speak loudly.
When connecting to blue tooth, you may need to try several times but it doesn’t mean it’s the Marshall Major V is the problem. It can easily be the other device you are trying to connect to. It’s best to hold down the button to connect to Bluetooth and waiting patiently to connect. Keep trying if you cannot pair your headphones on the first try. It should connect and once you do, it will connect rapidly the next time you are ready to connect via blue tooth.
Major’s amazing long hours of use 100+ before needing a charge is a game changer. It’s really impressive to not have to worry about when the headphone battery will become exhausted. It just keeps going and going. It’s one of the best features. It can also be charged wirelessly on a charging pad besides using a wired charger.
The softly padded ear pads really make a difference and allow for extended use, when needed.
The Major V is adjustable for head size, is black and has a nice design. It can be easily stored and placed into a pocket book or backpack. It makes for a great gift, especially since they are very portable and have extended battery life.
Included on the headphones is a button to allow you to connect quickly to Spotify, adjust your equalizer snd more. An app is needed to use this feature.
Overall, I recommend Major V to just about anyone looking for a quality headphone with an extended battery life and comfort.

I got these Marshall Major V headphones to replace my older Marshall over-the-ear headphones that were starting to show some wear and tear. I didn’t fully appreciate the difference between the on-ear and over-the-ear designs. The Marshall Major V headphones are on-ear, so they sit on top of your ears instead of cupping all the way around your ears. On the plus side this means the headphones are smaller and lighter, they are also more comfortable to wear with glasses. On the con side the headphones don’t feel as snug and feel a bit wobbly when turning your head. They are still comfortable to wear and sound great. They do not have active noise canceling but they do cover your ears sufficiently to block out a lot of ambient noise. Like other Marshall headphones, the Major V are hinged so they fold up compactly which is nice to save space in your bag for travel. They come with a very short usb c charging cable (they can also be charged wirelessly but I haven’t tried that) and a nice standard 3.5 mm stereo jack cable if you need to use them without Bluetooth (this cable can also be used to connect your Major V headphones to a friend’s headphones so you can listen to shared audio, which is a nice bonus feature). The Bluetooth function works great and connects quickly and easily to multiple devices. There is a manual “joystick” like button on the right side that controls power, volume, and forward/back skipping. For me, this button is placed at an odd angle in the corner of the square earpiece that makes distinguishing between the directions of the volume and skip controls a bit awkward. The left earpiece has an “M” button that has very limited functionality but can be customized for Spotify, equalizer, or voice assistant (one wonders why they even bothered to have it). They advertise 100+ hours of playtime and I haven’t had to recharge them yet with frequent daily use over a week. Marshall has a downloadable app that is not necessary to use the headphones but gives some limited functionality. The most beneficial use of the app is wireless firmware updates to the headphones. Other than that, the controls in the app are pretty rudimentary and not really necessary (like the equalizer settings, very basic audio control, or customization of the “M” button). Overall, the Marshall Major V headphones sound great and have been a good, lightweight, and compact replacement for my older Marshall Bluetooth headphones.

I decided to try on ear headphones for the first time. Many years ago I had a similar pair but more recently I’ve used earbuds or over the ear headphones primarily. I have experience with a couple of other Marshall products, including an excellent Bluetooth speaker, which I keep in my office. I was pleasantly surprised to the balance and tuning of these headphones. I listen to a wide variety, including Christian contemporary, rock, country, folk, blues, international, and classical. Have not found myself wanting to adjust the EQ of these headphones after several days of abuse. They are quite light and well formed. The battery life is excellent. The covering is not too large and not too small and high-quality foam and apparently fake leather. The right and left sides are clearly marked and they fold quite small. They charge via USB, and also have an Analog audio jack. The cord is included as a charting cord, but no transformer.
On the left or there is a single button for Spotify tap on the right ear there’s a multifunction gold button, which is easy to find without looking. It also operates like a joystick For easy control. There is a single low level LED adjacent to the charging port. They were immediately recognized by my app which I had not used in years and firmware was updated without problems. The app is unusually useful as many Bluetooth apps are quite limited functionality or information. overall an excellent product. Overall an excellent product.

Great immersive sound.
App is very straightforward.
Much lighter than they look.
Great build quality.
Legitimately look like a Marshall product/speaker, cords even look like Marshall.
Can be BT or wired.
These pair so easily. After initial pairing with my Android phone, it saves the profile and will work with my Android tablet as well. I only needed to pair one time. Easy to pair with my laptop as well. Just a normal BT device add. It can be paired to both at the same time.
The ear cups are pillowy soft. These can be worn a long time without feeling like you are wearing them.
The audio is almost perfect. You can feel the sound even at lower levels. These have quickly become my favorite headsets.
Battery life is outstanding so far. I have charged one time in a week. I am going on over 40 hours of use. I would guess I should get about 120 hours of charge based on the usage pct on my phone.
Having a wired mode is great for use with PC or laptop, not that you need to save on battery life.
I can't find anything bad to say. I love these headphones.

I love these lightweight long lasting headphones. Having a set of headphones that I can play music for around 100 hours to drown out the noise of the office is amazing. I don't have to worry about recharging during the week and can keep the noise away while I work and listen.
Over bluetooth from my phone, using some dolby atmos tracks sound is great and the iconic Marshall look is fanastic. I'm happy with the sound quailty and battery life and the fact I can get a week out of them and not even get to 50% battery life is amazing. They fold up nice and small too which makes getting them into my laptop bag great as they aren't bulky.
Wearing them with glasses all down is good. I have not had any problems with them they don't weigh me down or press my glasses into the side of my head. The full closed nature, while not having active noise control, does block out those annoying office mates who think everyone should be on their conference call, esp. with some good tuns blasting at a reasonable level.
Overall this is a great light weight long lasting pair of headphones and I'm very happy with them. Easy to use and sound great.

Marshall has been the powerhouse brand for amazing sound quality for music equipment. These headphones bring the point home full force. First of all, I've never been a on-the-ear headphones type of guy but these are so soft and pleasant to the ears. I can listen to music or be on the phone all day. The call quality has gotten better with features like noise cancelling and wind noise reduction. Some prefer the Bluetooth connection to the wired (there is a cable included for that option). I honestly don't hear a difference but the battery life is so good, it just seems convenient not to have the wire around.
The battery life is amazing, over 100 hours on one charge, it took me a good week and a half of constant listening before I had to charge it. There are 2 charging options, wired and wireless, with a bonus "quick charge" feature for on the go power.
There's a customizable button to program to execute any action, whether it be opening an app like Spotify, or activating the Voice Assistant.
Hi Happy, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you aren't satisfied with the Major V, have you tried the Monitor III? With their over-ear fit and Active Noise Cancellation, you may find that their audio quality is better suited to your preferences.

A bit underwhelming

Let me start by saying, I own quite a few Marshall products that I truly love. I had hoped these would offer the same great sound quality as the many other products I own. Unfortunately they did not live up to my expectations. The build quality is nice they are comfortable and will fit a multitude of head sizes and shapes, but that’s about it. I was disappointed as soon as I opened the box. No case? I know it seems a bit trivial, but i like to be able to keep my headphones and any cables that go with them together when not in use. Secondly the ear pieces are rather small in comparison to any other over the ear headphones I’ve owned. They however fit my 2yr olds ears pretty well, so not a total loss. Sound quality was pretty underwhelming as well, even after adjusting the EQ in the downloadable app I could never get the depth and clarity I was expecting. As a user that listens to music 12-16hrs a day through headphones or in the car, sound quality is very important to me and unfortunately these fell short. They do offer some pretty cool features though. Extremely long battery life, wired or wireless connection and also the ability to link another wired set of headphones. This is great for plane rides with the kids. I really wanted to like these headphones but unfortunately they fell short for me. They will however be used by my kids, so not a total loss. However there are far worse products out there at the same price point or higher.
Hi Heather, thanks for your review. The Major V are an on-the-ear model: the ear cushions will be smaller when compared to an on-ear model and they will sit on the ears rather than over the ears. It sounds like the Monitor II ANC are more suited to your preferences: they are an over-ear model, come with a carrying pouch and offer ANC.

The Marshall Major V has surprisingly impressed me for a set of on ear headphones at this price range. With Marshall products you come to expect a certain build quality & user experience and this product does not differ from that regard.
The Marshall Major V follow the same design as most Marshall products and you can tell from a visual standpoint this looks simiyto most Marshall products which is not a negative thing in my opinion.
You get the Marshall logo on each side of the ear cups and the headband, what seem to be covered in faux leather that do a good job of looking like the real thing. There is a customizable “M” you can use to set your favorite function. There is also a nice gold control knob that works like a joy stick to control playback actions. Using the Marshall app you can adjust your EQ settings as well. Marshall’s product description states the Major V have 100+ hours of wireless playback. Things I like about the Major V are they are lightweight, fold up compact, sound great for the price point, don’t look cheap and great battery life.
