Low volume when batterie low

Regarding the malfunction

Dumster Fire

When I contacted the manufacturer, they played it off like i was crazy and that I had 2 defective speakers they would Try to repair through mail under warranty. The app is super annoying to use and is mandatory for pairing. No go!!!

Posted .Hello, thank you for your review. It sounds like something has gone wrong here, the Middleton offers more than 4 hours of battery life. You are correct to think the speaker is defective if you are only getting 4 hours of play from it, please reach out to Customer Support on the official Marshall website. The app is not mandatory for pairing to the speaker, however, it will provide important firmware updates and provide additional features if you choose to use them.

Posted .Hello, I am very sorry to hear about your experience with the Middleton speaker. The speaker does use the SBC Codec, which will allow non-HD music apps such as Spotify and Apple Music to stream at full fidelity. When you get a new speaker, please make sure the Data-Saver option is disabled in your music app, it will greatly reduce the quality of the outgoing stream if it is enabled. As for the latency, depending on conditions the speaker should operate at roughly 200ms. The reason we decided to go with SBC is so that Apple and Windows user would not be excluded if we included aptX. We wish for users to have the same listening experience no matter which device they are using. Again, we are very sorry that the unit you received had issues and we hope you find something suitable in the future.

DO NOT BUY. DOES NOT CHARGE PROPERLY.

Worked when i first bought it. Charge it up and worked great. Battery life was fantastic and lasted a month but once it was depleted, it was dead. I attempted to charge it and nada! I reached out to Marshall for help but they were worthless. They told me to use different charging cords (was the one that came with the product crap?) and use a specific charging brick but nothing. I did a factory reset and still wont charge. It’s past the return date so now i lost money on a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY, THATS WHY ITS ON SALE!!!!!!!!!

Don’t waste your time if using a newer iPhone

Nice speaker, when plugged in via Aux, but Bluetooth performance was very poor. It cut out a bunch just sitting with the phone beside it, was terrible if I tried to use the phone at the same time.

There are many reasons the Bluetooth could have been disconnecting: interference, defect, etc.. Did you take the speaker back to Best Buy for assistance? I have had 3 and not one will charge regardless or wire, outlet, and brick. It is a very expensive single use item. Make sure it charges if you do order it immediately.

We are curious about what kind of power source you were using to charge the speaker: to charge the speaker, plug the speaker into a USB power source and make sure to use a charger with 5V and an amperage greater than 1A to charge the speaker.
