These are simply exquisite earbuds. They are precise, accurate, and detailed. There is no way Marshall could possibly make something this wonderful. I fully expected big bass, loud, harsh - well hurt my ears rock music. Not at all, they are exactly the opposite of all that. Comfortable to use and listen to. They fit my ear nicely, and stay put without feeling strange. The charging case is just a pleasure to hold. The fake deep leather looks like their amps, and makes the case easy to hold. It charges either with a USB-C connection or just about any Qi wireless charger (I used a Nomad magsafe base). The earbuds slip easily into the case for charging. The whole tapping touching routine works well. You have to learn the dance, just like any other wireless device. Volume change waits just a moment before it starts and is proceeded by a low level beep. There is no noise cancelling, so environmental sounds come through. Volume is the only noise cancel. I like these a lot. They're beautiful earbuds.

These headphones sound good, they support HD music, and the headphones themselves feel good besides that they are a little too big for my ears, so if you have larger ear holes they should fit nicely but they aren’t my favorite fit. The case snaps shut nicely and the white name on black looks good in my opinion along with the leather looking design. I don’t love that it isn’t leather, it is hard light plastic it just looks like leather from a distance. The case isn’t the highest quality feeling either. The app takes some patients, the Bluetooth connection isn’t the most stable when it comes to the app, the music works good but opening the app and changing the settings is difficult, I ended up opening the app and just waiting, usually within 5 min the screen I was trying to get to would populate or the app would realize that the headphones have been connected the entire time. Then I was able to disable the controls on the buds themselves as they were a little too sensitive for my taste and then they worked pretty decently overall. This was tested on a Samsung z fold 5, so a decently new android phone. They sound good and they look good, but if you are hoping to use the app on an android phone, I’m not sure I would recommend these.

    Fitment Issues

I have had multiple Marshall products over the years and have always loved their products. Their headphones (on the ear) as well as their earbuds (Motif ANC) have been stellar products for me. I ordered these Minor 4 earbuds to use when active noise cancelling is not needed. I have used these for the gym as well as simple walks to be able to listen to music, podcasts etc. Unfortunately, there is no way to get a good fit with these earbuds to take advantage of the wonderful signature Marshall sound that I have so enjoyed on my other Marshall products. I am a very average male, 5'10, and in good physical shape so these should fit rather well. As the just rest on the opening of the ear and do not really penetrate the external ear canal, there is absolutely no way to get a good enough seal to take advantage of the sound qualities of Marshall's signature sound. The only wat to do so is to use both hands to "push" them in the ears to get a seal. Then, and only then, can you appreciate the sound generated. Once this is done, the sound is wonderful but obviously one cannot walk around with both hands pushing on the buds into the ear. They also fell out multiple times while walking due to the placement issues on, not in the ear canal. There is also no "modifying the fit of these with different sized earbud tips due to their design. I am not quite sure why Marshall did not stick to the insertion format of the Motif ANC earbuds which are stellar in fitment and sound. They could have simply made a non-ANC version of the Motif and reduced cost for those not needing the acive noise cancelling feature. I simply cannot recommend this product due to its fitment difficulties.

Hello Jeff, thanks for your review and feedback. The Minor IV are an open-fit earbud, as opposed to the Motif II ANC which use ear tips to create a seal and sit right in the ear canal. Sounds like you prefer the earbuds that sit in the ear canal; there are other users who prefer the open-fit models. We love that you tried these and appreciate that they aren't the right fit for you.
