To start, this thing is beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous design, matches my Marshall half stack and looks great in my home. The SOUND IS AMAZING. I've compared this to many and did my research before buying and WOW!! Better than Bose, klipsch, beats (duh), and others. The quality of the product is what you would expect from a company like Marshall. It even has a optical audio input for high quality sound. The dials are solidly built, the switches work flawlessly, and the connectivity to all your devices is limitless. Take my word for it and buy this, you will nt be disappointed. As an audiophile myself, this is exactly what I was looking for.

It sounds totally different than it sounded before. I'm not sure if a speaker is gone out or not. Takes a while to sync with my device and sometimes I have to try it several times before it works.

THERE IS NO BETTER DESPITE THE PRICE

I have introduced this speaker to several of my audiophile friends and they have ALL purchased it after listening to the quality of the sound. From Classical to Rap, the 80 watt Class D amplifier handles all frequencies well, especially the bass. Separate controls for volume, bass, and treble help adjust the sound production to what you desire. Even at max levels on all three, there is very little distortion, if any. I have owned other bluetooth speakers, but there is NO BETTER in my opinion. The only downside is that it is not battery powered. The power required to produce the sound that it delivers requires the speaker to be "plugged in". The size of the speaker is not too big and fits nicely in any room that I need quality sound production. At near MAX levels, it fills both my kitchen (15' x 19') and two story great room (16'x 23') with ample sound.

Very poor sound, my portable mini speaker is louder. The look is cool but it doesn't play loud.

After trying the Klipsch KMC3, I ordered this. The KMC3 was good, but the Marshall is great. If i truly needed the battery, the KMC3 would have been fine. This stays in my kitchen. It looks awesome, as a guitar player, its just that much more cool to look at. High quality construction, feels solid, the knobs, buttons and switches are solid. The sound is very good, solid bass for a unit this size, and has volume to fill the room for sure. I like the ability to leave the unit on, so you can just walk into the room and connect and play, nothing to touch on the speaker. The input jack connection is noticeably better than the Bluetooth connection, but my phone does not support Aptx either. Mine sits on top of the refrigerator, I get right at 30' reception from the BT which is fine. For its price and size, I have not yet heard anything better.

I've had this speaker for about 3 months now and still amazed by the sound it puts out. I work at Lowes at night and needed a speaker that could pump out some sound. I started with the JBL charge, then went to the Harmon Kardon onyx studio and neither of these put out the sound I needed to fill a big open space so I bought the Marshall and never had a problem. Every time I bring this speaker in to work I get so many compliments on the sound it's crazy!! I have yet to have my music at full volume as half volume is enough to fill a good open space!! The only down fall is it's really not portable although I do carry it into work. If you're looking for great sound that can be played loud look no further!!

    Great Sound for Outdoor Patio

I was looking for a portable speaker for my outdoor patio that would play music from my iPod. I tried the Bose Soundlink III and it was cordless (which was good) but it couldn't handle all the songs in my colletion (especially older recorded songs). I took it back and bought this Marshall speaker and I am totally satisfied. Big sound even outdoors.

    best sounding speaker ever

i purchased this with intention of replacing my old docking bose speaker.. and the best buy i was at did not have this item on display for me to hear the sound... so i was very nervous in dropping 350 plus tax on a speaker i have not yet heard.. but i read all the reviews and i took a chance.. and to my amazement, we had a 50 year birthday party to host that night, and when i plugged it in and put on some old willie nelson, everyone was blown away by how loud and good sounding this speaker performed!! absolutely a pleasure for your ears.. and we then plugged into it my record player and played some old school records... worked like a champ!!!! great looking, and best yet, great sounding.. love the bass and treble knobs to be able to adjust.. bluetooth worked great too.. overall an awesome sounding speaker setup.. only drawbacks is the fact that it isn't battery operated. has to plugged in to the wall to use.. but that is ok. i purchased the smaller portable one that they also for that. and it is awesome too!!!!

    An all around great speaker

I have been using this daily now for more than a year and it's never let me down. Pros - All the connectivity options you need: BT, 3.5mm stereo and even hi-fi optical - This thing kicks. I regularly play it at half volume from source and speaker and it still puts out big sound. This isnt a small speaker - It's got 'the look' Cons - It's powered, so that limits outdoor portability to places with an outlet - It doesnt go to 11 (see 'the look' above)

I purchased this after seeing it in the store. Made exceptional well and the sound is phenomenal. A quality built product with Bluetooth access in addition to an optical and two other inputs. Give the look and feel of a real Marshall amp including the delay in powering up to hear the sound.. Only drawback is a little pricey. If it had a small price point, I am sure these things would fly off the shelf.

    Built in the 70s

I just upgraded to iPhone 5s so my dock connected Sony HD radio needed to be replaced. This speaker system caught my eye because it looks like it was manufactured in the 70s. I bought it because it felt like it was manufactured in the 70s! It's been driving my New Years party of 80s Minneapolis R&B and has proven nothing short of impressive. Can you buy something cheaper? Certainly! Can you buy something better? No way in hell. Clear the shelves NOW. I bought mine in cream to break up the status quo black. I absolutely *love* this thing and I recommend cream! From what I found online this is BB exclusive... so buy... buy... buy! Clear the shelves now! IMO Sweden has just become the Apple of Bluetooth speaker systems and Marshall is leading the way!

I'm constantly at a loss for words every time I use this speaker. I really thought you needed an entire sound system to produce sound like this.... never did I imagine so much raw power could come from something so compact. I mainly use it for music via bluetooth and it has taken the classic rock songs to a whole new level and really showcases the full range of each and every song; superb!! In addition I recently hooked it up to my Apple TV via it optical input and watched Ironman. The wife was none too pleased on the other side of the house ... I enjoyed myself however! If your looking for a new speaker at this pricepoint, search no further. If you looking for one at a higher pricepoint ... save your money!

I did a lot of research before buying this speaker. I was going to buy the Stanmore version before I realized that it did not have a rechargeable battery and had to be plugged in. I discovered this version and bought it instead; while it is not as powerful as the Stanmore, this portable does pack a punch and is one of the best speakers in it's price range. I like this speaker so much that i bought a second one as a Christmas gift this year (2015).

Purchased July 2015 and mains were blown by December 2016. Did not exactly see any rough duty. Sat on kitchen counter and provided background music for the most part. Disappointing.

I had a dud, brand new in box and never powered on. Worst part is that there is no option to turn volume up to 11. Returned right away and didn't want a new one.

This speaker has everything I have been looking for! I have used many Jambox, Beats, and Bose products. This one blows them all away in my opinion for overall power and clarity of sound. Right out of the box I knew this speaker was legit. It looks amazing on my desk, and works great for every day internet use AND melt your face rock and roll. Don't let other reviews fool you. This speaker can play the hip hop genre very well too. The bass is great. But it definitely can play AC/DC, Metallica, Lynard...all the greats! Get this speaker! YOU WILL NOT REGRET! I promise...

I went speaker shopping an I was looking for clarity, loudness, bluetooth and if i could hooked it up to my tv. I tried the bose mini speaker then the bose sound link and when I walked into best buy i saw the Marshall and as soon as i turned it on i was amazed but more amazed that my wife was like WOW. I have only been with it a week and i love it i hook it up to my tv and it sounds great not like an actual surround system but really efficient that pleases me and when playing music it is a clearer sound than any other speaker out there

This is an amazing sounding Bluetooth speaker but Id expect nothing less from a speaker with the name Marshall on it. Only draw back is that its a bit heavy but so are their amps. lol

I have the Bose Soundlink II speaker - and have always been a Bose fan. I NEVER would have thought I'd be happy with any other brand, but WOW. I have this hooked up to my turn table via RCA jacks and the sound is crisp, clean, detailed, and AMAZING! It also has an optical input in the back, so I use it with my PS4 as well - and I must say it rivals my 5.1 Bose sound bar. GREAT product - EXTREMELY happy!
