Looks like a small marshall amp, how cool is that. Its not the beats by dr.dyre, which is great because i dont like rap or hip- hop. This is for classic rock fan listeners all the way.

I certainly haven't listened to all the available speaker options, and this one might suit your needs. Spend the time to listen to the speakers you plan to buy. Mine was an internet purchase based on reviews from others. Don't make that mistake ! I have owned lots of stereo equipment in my time, but the only thing that I have currently that would be a fair comparison is a Bose soundlink mini. The Marshall has a lot more available volume, but the mini's sound kills the Marshall. Sorry, but a 1970's tabletop radio had about the same sound quality as the Marshall. The point is, get out there and listen for yourself. One important thing when judging any speaker is to listen to them at the same sound level. That way you can compare the quality of the sound. A inexperienced buyer has a tendency to go with the louder speaker, which certainly is not always the best speaker.

    Big Small Sound

I had been looking at portable bluetooth speakers for a while and we ultimately found ourselves listening to this box. We decided to throw out needing something portable and got this instead as it solves our space issue and the sound is awesome. I would much rather have this around than put together a space consuming and wire filled system (and likely still expensive). Well worth the money.

    FYI for online buyers

This unit sounded great in the store - and looks to be of very high quality construction EXCEPT for the cheap "Marshall" logo on the front. Ever seen the plastic word picks in flower arrangements - or birthday cakes? Well the "Marshall" emblem looks just like that. Not even fastened very well to the speaker. Sorry, but for this price I expect more especially considering the quality of the rest of the unit. By the way - this thing is HUGE. It's definitely "moveable" but not sure I'd call it "portable" as I can't imagine lugging it around.

    Terrible Customer Support

My speaker crapped out 14 months after I bought it. I understand it's out of warranty, but best buy sent me on a 4 hour run around before finally telling me that I would have to contact Marshall directly. The support from Marshall is terrible. They are only located in Syracuse and you have to ship it and wait and see. Overall, great sound but terrible follow up support. Spend your $400 on a more established brand that actually has follow up support.

    Not worth the $400.00.

Wife and I bought this on a whim about 18 months ago. Great looks and sound but always had a hard time with the Bluetooth hookup. Had to re-pair it all the time. Worked fine until yesterday, then it just stopped. Nothing! Hard to believe $400 would last less than 2 years. Thinking about sending it back to Marshall/Stanmore but I think I'll just go and buy something else.

    Not a quality product

After 13 months the speaker stopped working. It sits on a shelf with little use. Of course the warranty is 12 months. This is an expensive piece of electronics and I expected quality from the name brand. The Marshall brand does not equate to a quality product. Best Buy or Marshall will not do anything to warranty the item.
