pleasant surprises

I was replacing some tower speakers to eliminate lots of trailing wire. Tried it out with the Sarah Brightman/Michael Crawford version of Phantom of the Opera. sounded great cranked up no distortion at all. Next up was Beyonce/Shakira tune that also sounded wonderful. Led Zep needed a little tweaking of the equalizer but all in all works and sounds great

One thing that bothers me is that this quality wireless bluetooth speaker does NOT provide portable function. It should be directly connected to power outlet. This issue would make your room look ugly/ disorganized/ messy. Also, you cannot put the speaker only on some places in which power outlet is located at reachable distance.

Marshall Stanmore II

Northing wrong with the JBL. It's an incredible speaker. The Marshall I have set up on a shelf in the garage. You sacrifice portability for better sound. It sounds very good playing rock, jazz and instrumental music. Very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic sound quality but not that loud.

Pros: the Bluetooth signal (aptx) sends a super clear signal and the sound quality is excellent. Cons: the volume isn’t as loud as some of the reviews suggest. It does not distort even at top volume, but I guess basic physics says you need larger speakers to move more air.

Awesome sound quality

In fact, this little speaker sounds even better than my entire 5.1 channel surround sound system (not louder, but richer). This is not a portable speaker (has no battery in it), so if you want it for outside, this is not probably a good option. However, for indoor use, I would 100% recommend this to anyone who really cares about the sound quality. This is a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth the price.
