Auto power off prevents some uses
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound was great, but this has an auto shut off. My plan was to hook it to an Alexa device, but with the auto-shutoff, it was not able to be useful.

Posted .Hello, thanks for your review. All Marshall Speakers will go into standby mode if not playing audio or interacted with for 1o to 15 minutes. This is a power saving setting that is legally required in some countries.

Incredible sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great speaker, first of all it looks like a Marshall amp, tolex cover, well built & solid. It’s not a lightweight speaker, it’s acutally quite solid. I connected this with my iPod & it was a super simple install through the app & it paired instantly. From the app you can control volume, led brightness of knobs & there are different equalizer settings depending on what style of music you listen too. The volume, bass & treble knobs light up with red led & the power toggle switch plays a riff of music when you turn it on & off, this feature can be disabled but it’s kind of cool. You can connect Bluetooth, or auxiliary, microphone or rca jacks. The sound is crystal clear even at high volume, no cracking at all, sounds amazing, it is very loud even at half volume. I am impressed with how it sounds. This can be paired with another Marshall speaker also. Although the description said it has Alexa connectivity, I did not see that feature but I’ll have to check it out & see if I missed something. I have always been a Bose speaker fan but I have to say this is up there with the best. If I had to pick one thing wrong I’d have to say it’d be nice if it was rechargeable & could go anywhere without a cord & having to be plugged in all the time but it still gets 5 stars from me.

Great sound, and classic look!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker has been a joy to experience. Love the look, feel and build of the Marshall amp style. First connecting to Bluetooth took a while and was honestly frustrating, but you only need to do it once I suppose. Having to hold the on and off toggle seems off to, a quick flick should be all that's needed, in my opinion.Other than those two issues I love this speaker. I played plenty of music for a few days, even leaving it on while away at work to break in the speakers. This way I could give a better review then right out of the box. Speakers always have a break in period that can throw off some listeners. I have to say that this compares well with Bose and Harmon as far as bluetooth speakers go. No battery which is fine for me since this will sit in one location anyway, plus I can't imagine damaging the great style of this speaker by lugging it around all over the place. Being able to adjust the bass and treble on the fly is very nice for when switching genres. If you like the Marshall style and want your ears to be happy then you have found your new Bluetooth speaker.

nice classic look with intense modern sounds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the classic look of this speaker, it's very elegant and functional. The leather look with the textured vinyl, and brass accents give this a very classy look. The controls could not be simpler or easier to use. The classic dials add a very easy and precise way to customize your sound experience for the bass and treble. Further equalizer functions can be done with your phone or primary audio device. The sound is very impressive for the size of the box. It puts out as much sound and quality as an old school home stereo set with the large floor stand speakers. I was able to hear this speaker 3 rooms away at almost max volume, and it still sounded loud enough to enjoy, as if it was in the room with me( at a normal level). The model I have does not have the Alexa feature (which is primarily just a button and mic), but should be able to connect to any Bluetooth device as just a speaker. There is, however, a "play/pause" button next to the power switch lever for added convenience. It also has a 3.5mm aux input , and RCA audio jack input for real old school devices. The sound quality is very high, and doesn't get garbled or distorted at any volume. With the bass on high, and the volume cranked, you can really feel the air pounding out of the back of the box. Overall, I could not be happier with the fact that this could easily be placed on any shelf and make any room sound like it has a huge sound system in it. With the ability to connect to any audio device, the convenience, simplicity and sound quality make this speaker a winner!

Stopped working two weeks since I got it

"AWESOME" Speaker!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this speaker 7/27/19 and could not wait to get it home and try it out. I downloaded the Marshall app. on my iPhone and it automatically did the software upgrade for the speaker. I was blown away by the sound that was coming from this speaker! It was AWESOME, so AWESOME that I went back to the store and purchased another speaker to pair them together for TRUE stereo sound. I was flabbergasted again by the sound of these speakers after pairing them together. I took them outside and put them on a speaker mount, about 5ft in height and CRANKED them! I swear that it sounded like a DJ was at my house, the LOW's were so punchy that it was like having a sub woofer hooked up! I listen to a lot of dance music and these speakers did the dancing for me. Think god I live on 3 acre's or the neighbors would of maybe not liked me anymore! lol If you can afford to buy 2 of these for true stereo sound, don't hesitate because having two of these speakers paired together will blow you away! I got these on sell for 150.00 off of each speaker!

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the cream version of this and love it. It’s aesthetically pleasing & the packaging was beautiful. The sound is unreal- we compared it to our JBL and BOSE sound systems- blows them away. The bass is unreal.

If a tube amp were Bluetooth
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE this speaker. The sound quality is akin to a tube amplifier – very warm-toned. I use this primarily with my record player, but the Bluetooth pairing mode is outstanding as well. Make no mistake, this speaker is LOUD. I rarely turn it up to full volume. It fills my entire 1000 sq ft home with crisp sound that carries well. The only downside is that there is no remote, and it has to be plugged into the wall at all times. However, for a stationary speaker, this is an amazing device that I recommend to all of my friends.

Wonderful, stylish shelf speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This speaker is just right for your office, bedroom, or game room. The Marshall style is classic and looks great. The input options are welcome. RCA, audio cable, and Bluetooth all work. You can control sound (bass, treble) and volume on the unit itself or using the Marshal app. As for sound quality, it is excellent. Podcasts, audio books, and of course music all sound rich and deep. The volume and depth is powerful enough to fill a large home game room. We also use this speaker for move nights outdoors with our big projection screen. We have also used it already at a party and social event. Plenty of oomph to hand these events. This is an excellent speaker that I think you will love too. Highly recommended.

Time to Rock
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Marshall amps and cabinets spark memories of shows seen, and some of the most brilliant guitarists to ever strap up and plug in. The look. The feel and the sound does NOT disappoint. The only thing that would make this a 6 is if Marshall released this as a tube amp. The set up through the Marshall Bluetooth app was a breeze. You can add an additional speaker if you need a little more drive. The Marshall - Stanmore II Wireless Speaker looks great. It adds a touch of class and style wherever you set it. This model was not Alexa enabled. At least at this point. A little pricy, but quality is worth the cost.

High-performance sound gave High impressions!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the most powerful BT speakers I have ever used! Marshall Stanmore II is one of the BEST Bluetooth speakers I ever used in this day in age and I've tested dozens of them over the years. This speaker is extremely of high-performance but features are somewhat slim. My grandfather who has passed away was a huge fan of Marshall speakers from the 70s/80s, He has always raved about them and how good the sound quality is but I being a kid I never knew how good they were. Now being older I see where the appreciation came from. The VERY gorgeous design that Marshall is known for is here and present and yes it's as iconic as it ever was. The black version of the speaker gives you that "Salt & Pepper" like design with a textured vinyl covering on the front of the speaker. Bold Cursive logo on the front plated in a gold-like metal stands out. there is also an engraving of "EST. 1962" right below the logo which itself makes you feel proud to own the speaker. The top panel of the speaker has actual knobs with LEDs (I LOVE THESE!) on the speaker itself and feels like its gold plated. Volume, Bass, Tremble knobs feels good to the touch...Source and Play/Pause buttons also feel great. The power "switch" is satisfying to turn on each time. Nothing feels wobbly, creeky, unsteady, or feel like it's going to come off; Stanmore II is well built beyond my expectations. The speakers are heavy and I know they say these are versatile but not with movement. Where ever you set the speakers is most likely where it's going to stay. Features are short here but if you looking for powerful speakers this is one to own. There are only three modes here. Bluetooth, AUX, and RCA. I've have tested all of these and all have been great. Bluetooth worked just fine with my PC and iPhone X giving clear sound but fear not Android fans, Using an old Galaxy S8 gave that crystal clear sound with Qualcomm aptX. Music from every genre sound amazing especially if you fine-tune the speakers to your liking. You can expand that more with the Marshall Bluetooth App in the app stores. I do have some disappointment with the App as its not that many features besides setting the EQ and turning up the volume. I think the app could expand with ways to change the source and having a Play/Pause button on the app but it's not there. The cool thing here is that you can have two Bluetooth sound devices connected to the speakers at once There is one 50 watt Woofer on the front and two 15 watt tweeters on the left and right side above the woofer. You won't be upset with the sound quality because you can tell Marshall thought of this first and foremost when designing this product. The sound could easily fill a living room and with the bass, these speakers provide you can feel it all over. I can't rave enough about the sound itself even movies sound amazing to have hooked up to a TV with RCA. AUX worked fine but prefer if the port was on the back of the speaker with the RCA keeping a clean design up top. There isn't much on the back of the speakers beside a service port and RCA input as well as the power port but it isn't much going on back there. That's all there is to it, they are powerful and versatile with sound, Booms with bass, and Beautiful to look at in my opinion. Stanmore II is quite heavy to move around if you have to but I have no issues with the speakers other then that as well as more in the app that it needs. Well worth the money and very easy to set up. My guess here if you want more features like Alexa you should go for that version but for people who just want a glorious Bluetooth speaker with OUTSTANDING sound (and not voice activated), Marshall Stanmore II should check every single box. If I could I would give it more than 5 stars for the speaker itself and 3 stars for the Marshall app.

Great Looks and Wonderful Sound with a few quirks
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Marshall Stanmore II is an attractive bluetooth speaker that looks much different than nearly anything else on the market. It has wonderful sound quality, with a rich, organic sound. Very balanced and has a lot of depth. The physical dials and controls on top are great to see and makes it easy to change settings and they even put the auxiliary audio input right on top which makes it easy to access rather than how a lot of speakers have them located on the back of the unit. However, I found that the bass and treble controls don’t affect the sound profile a whole lot. But in all fairness, the sound profile out of the box is quite pleasant - probably one of the nicest I’ve heard. One more thing is that the volume seems a bit finicky, especially if you have more than one device connected to it. I experienced a few instances where the volume would suddenly increase. This was when I was paired to just one device but when 2 devices are paired to it, let’s say an iPad and an iPhone, this occurred more often. A great speaker overall with some wonderful sound quality.

Bluetooth speaker with an iconic look
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're in the market for a nice looking, non-portable (no battery) bluetooth speaker that can really crank up the volume, then you should be happy with this speaker. It's fairly large, about the size of a big shoe box, but it's really a beautiful looking design. The iconic Marshall logo on the front is complemented with the lit dials on top for adjusting bass, treble, and volume. The aux input 3.5mm jack is also on the top, but if you can use RCA inputs those are conveniently on the back and out of sight. The app was really easy to use for the initial setup, but after that you don't really need to do anything with it unless you want to tweak the settings. It sounds great with the default settings, though. You can really crank up the volume to fill the room with music without getting distortion. It would be nice if it had the Alexa voice feature built in, but you can still connect something like a small Echo Dot to the aux input like I did. If you have a long enough cable you can keep the Dot far enough away from the speaker that it still hears you over the music playing. Given how convenient it is to stream music using Alexa these days, this is pretty much a must-have for any speakers. However, if that's not an issue for you (or you use a Dot like I did) then I think you'll be very pleased with the look and sound quality of this speaker.
