Amazing Alexa enabled device with great sound delivery pump up the bass. But without too much bass just delivers a great balanced sounds way better than echo etc. Setup was a little dicey but well worth the sound quality.

The Marshall Stanmore II Voice Wireless Speaker with Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant is one sweet wireless speaker. First of all it looks really nice anywhere in the house. I got the speaker in black and it has a honeycomb grey and gold fabric front. The speaker is very intuitive to how you want to connect it. There are four ways to connect and I was able to connect all four. These options are: 3.5 mm Jack Aux, Wifi, Bluetooth and a RCA L/R audio input in the back. The controls are all on top of the speaker. The Volume, Bass and Treble control your sound. There is also a play/pause button, microphone button and a source button as well as two microphones that listen to you when you command Alexa. There is a couple of things you need to do first. Download the Marshall Voice app from Google Play on an Android device like your smartphone. And if you want Alexa, I found it best to download Amazon Alexa App. Once I downloaded the apps I was ready to start connecting. I selected the Wifi streaming from the source button. I went in the Marshall App and selected the network I wanted the wireless Marshall speaker. I was able to connect but it was way more difficult than I thought it should be. I went through some great amount of trying before I was able to connect to the wifi. I don’t think that is because of the wireless Marshall speaker, rather I have a couple of wifi settings and had to choose the one where the speaker connected. At first on my computer, it chose voice connectivity.This is not the same as my library music on the computer. I was able to hook up to wifi music connected on the right network. It took a while to find the right wifi setting BUT once I did, it was worth the extra time. Alexa was much easier to hook up with the Amazon Alexa app. No issues there with Alexa. In the Marshall Voice app you get an EQ which lets you customize the sound coming out of the Marshall speaker. Very nice feature! Now I have never had Alexa and it was really cool. Alexa played music, answering questions and the turning off and on lights if you have that kind of wifi setup in your house. Alexa was fun to play with and a real nice feature of wireless Marshall speaker. Next I wanted to connect the speaker to the Bluetooth on my computer. I didn’t want to connect the smartphone via Bluetooth just the computer. So to make things easier I turned off my smartphone so the Marshall speaker would only hook up to my computer not smartphone. I already had a Bluetooth speaker hooked up to the computer, which shouldn’t make a difference, but I took that connection off my computer so that the computer would easily recognize the Marshall speaker. And to be honest, it did help. The Bluetooth from my computer connected very quickly to the Marshall speaker. The third way to connect to the wireless Marshall speaker was very simple. I simply plugged in the headphone jack on my HDTV. I got instant sound through the Marshall speaker. It sounded great. Lastly I wanted to hook up the RCAs from the HDTV to the Marshall speaker. I didn’t get a connection right away. But it was an easy fix. I simply reset the factory setting on the speaker and the RCAs worked. The sound of the Marshall speaker is very nicely rounded out with punchy bass and a nice treble tone that is comfortably loud but not piercing. The controls mentioned earlier, volume, bass and treble are adjustable to suit your sound needs. I think the Marshall speaker sound great with everything at noon on the dials. One thing to keep in mind is the source volume compared volume of the Marshall speaker. If you are getting low volume on your Marshall speaker, turn up the volume on the source. This gives you more volume to control on the Marshall speaker. One more thing, the Marshall speaker has to be plugged at all times to retain your connection. It does not have a rechargeable battery. Not really a big deal if you keep in one place. The Marshall speaker is loud enough to be heard through out the house, so placement is up to you. The wireless Marshall speaker is also capable to use in another room. I didn’t try this feature because it is not something I would use. But it is cool to know that it is there if you want it. In my opinion, this is an incredible wireless Marshall speaker that sounds excellent and has four tech ways to hook it up. It also looks great in the home with a nice platform and color.

Very nice sound. Great lows Easy connect. I really like the style. Its perfect for the living room. This unit will not blast your ears off but if you want a really good clear sound this is your unit.

I love my Marshall Stanmore II. The sound quality is great. I have it in a large room with a very high ceiling and it fills the room. The app is easy to use and it was easy to quickly set up Alexa.

This is a fantastic bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is top notch and I love the look of it. The only drawback is that it needs to stay plugged in. Other then that I love this.

This not only looks amazing but the sound quality is above the rest. Crisp highs and wall shaking bass. Easily adjustable using the Marshall app and Alexa is just a plus! It’s a must have!

Great sounding speaker but didn’t realize I purchased Alexa version which doesn’t turn off. Alexa ok and would have preferred on/off switch

Sound quality is fantastic and Alexa is a plus. However, it won’t play my music when I ask Alexa and I have to go through Bluetooth instead. Not the worst thing but kinda makes Alexa useless

Got this on sale to replace my Bose Soundtouch. Since Alexa is built in I got the Bose and Echo show off the table. Sounds great, lots of depth to the sound. Looks great in the room with my Marshall Amp. I have had no issues what so ever with it, I am listening to it right now. I also have a Sonos and it has dropped off the network a couple times but the Marshall has no problems on my wireless network.
