Looks absolutely beautiful but mediocre performanc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased it on sale because I’ve heard all the hype about this speakers on IG. It didn’t feel “very deep”.. treble was still too high with it turned down low and mids were hardly there.. my cheaper tiny Bose Soundlink Mini felt much more immersive.

Posted .Hello Ajax, thanks for your feedback and review. For a speaker that has a deeper sound, check out the Tufton or the Woburn.

Great quality, but sound delays pretty badly.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound delay that makes it absolutely useless for watching video made me return this item. This issue cant be resolved, I'll just have to buy speaker without "voice" option.

Posted .The Wi-Fi speakers have a slight delay built-in to deal with streaming issues or interruptions, these are ideal for Audio playback and rocking out to your favourite tunes, but not as Home Theatre systems.

Rich Full Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just like the Marshall amps that you've all seen at any rock show, this Marshall-Stanmore II Voice Wireless Speaker delivers the kind of sound that fills the room and makes you want to keep it on all the time. Unlike most other Alexa speakers you can use the control knobs on top to increase or decrease the treble, bass or volume. Of course there's an app as well with an equalizer with 6 presets or you can customize the sound manually. The knobs on the top are surrounded by LEDs whose brightness can be controlled via the app as well. Alexa works just as you would expect answering your questions, controlling your IOT devices and of course playing music from your Amazon music library, iHeart Radio, TuneIn and Spotify if you have a premium account. I was unable to play anything from Pandora. A few downsides to this speaker is that you can't change the wakeword like you can on other Alexa devices. You are stuck with "Alexa", no "Echo", "Amazon" or "Computer". Another thing you can't do is include the device into a group. I haven't tried any routines or skills on it yet but it should be able to do it. The speaker connects easily to bluetooth so I can always pair it to my iPhone or iPad to play other music sources. One feature the speaker has that other devices don't have is an Aux in and RCA jacks on the back to plug into a larger system if you wanted. Overall, the sound quality makes up for those few shortcomings I mentioned and with a speaker this large, that is the most important thing.

Bringing back the good ole days
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So Marshall has come out with a vintage looking wireless speaker that is bluetooth enabled with Alexa built in. If your anything like me and grew up around garage bands hoping to make to it big then you know just how memorable Marshall amps really are. For me i was really excited to see this set up especially seeing as how you have RCA inputs along with a few turn dial adjustments. Lets take a stroll down memory lane and see exactly what Marshall has to offer in this new line up. First off out the box i have to say this speaker has the look and feel of a typical Marshall amp. Its kind of heavy for being such a small piece but that is is just fine with me because helps add to the ascetics of a typical Marshall amp. Set up is done pretty easy through bluetooth via Marshall's app. Connection can be made either via bluetooth or through your Aux 3.5mm jack or RCA cables. This is one feature that i really like is having the RCA jack in the back to be able to utilize this speaker either for turntables or as a add on for a receiver/stereo set up. Now on top you have three knobs. One is for volume control, bass and treble. Now i know some people complain about them being pointless for sound control but you have to take in to consideration the whole reason for downloading the app. Yes the buttons work and serve a function however your going to get your best sound through the app which uses a 5 band equalizer with a few different presets. The turn dial knobs for me give it a nice old school retro feel and i personally like it alot. Now with the Alexa built in you will need to sign up or have an Alexa account which is free. Once all that is done its pretty much your standard Alexa. You can have her access your playlist and turn your volume up and down and so on. I think by this point everyone pretty much knows how Alexa works so i won't spend too much on all the Alexa features as they are pretty much standard. I really want to focus on the sound. After all this is a Marshall so it better live up to its name right? Here's the thing i was a little worried on how good sound quality would be across bluetooth and what the range and stability would be. Well one thing i can tell you is sound quality is phenomenal to say the least and so far i have not run in to any connection issues. First off this is not a 360 speaker so placement is very critical to getting the best sound available. If your having a party obviously you want to the speaker away from your guest facing them preferably against a solid back drop to help give the bass that extra punch and travel. With that being said sound quality is great. Volume control is plentiful giving you more than enough room to fill any space with sound that should please just about everyone. The bass quality is not real punchy if that's your thing. You will never really feel the bass hit you hard but that doesn't mean its terrible by any means. The bass seems to drift off a bit at higher volumes but this ok with me because i don't want it to take away from my vocals or mids. If your looking to get a bass sound that is going to rock you and your neighbors window then you will be disappointed however if your looking to get a speaker that can put out sound quality in all its entirety with out taking away from one particular section then you will be more then pleased. The vocals are crisp and clean allowing every little word to be heard with ease while the built in tweeters help bring out the high hats and percussion you might normally miss. The mids blend in perfectly to help complement your bass with neither one of them taking away from one another. And while i can't say for sure what max range is on bluetooth what i can tell you is that i got about 30 feet out with no issues. Here's my final verdict. Look this is a no brainer for me. If your old school like me then your going to love the vintage look and feel with the awesome sound quality. And if your new school then your going to like some of the new features like wireless bluetooth and Alexa built ins. The versatility makes this a great speaker for a pool party or a on the go DJ. The sleek vintage look means that you can leave this placed in your home with out it looking like a eye sore either. At the end of the day you i think you'll find that this is a really good buy Pros: -Vintage look and design -Awesome sound quality -Plenty of volume control -Built in equalizer with pre-sets via the app Cons: -none that i can see so far

Fantastic Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked the look of this speaker and it went with the decor of my room but I thought it was going to be a little gimmicky. It is not. It is very high quality. It looks and feels like a small Marshall amp. On top of looks it sounds fantastic. Very crisp with some good lows. I love the different input options and the built in Alexa. I like the added touches of having manual turn knobs with light indicator. This makes it so you can change settings with voice or with the app too. I honestly can't think of anything bad to say about it. This speaker is everything I wanted and more.

I wanted to love it....
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been admiring the Marshall speakers for awhile now and was excited to get this new one with Alexa built in. Unfortunately, the speaker falls short in a few ways. First let's talk about setup. The speaker is packaged nicely and really is a beautiful product. It is also pretty heavy, which is fine, since this is an in-home speaker and not portable. Setting up Alexa was simple, as was setting up bluetooth. Once those were setup, I tested it out and was really impressed with the sound at all levels. There are bass and treble knobs on the unit and you can adjust the EQ even more with the Marshall app. I love that I can do this. This really does sound great. Now the bad parts; both the Marshall website and the Best Buy site state that this can be used in a multi-room setup with other Alexa enabled speakers. This is not the case. This speaker cannot be used in any multi-room setup. I have speakers in every room and it would have been nice to have this playing music with them. The Alexa built in needs a lot of work. The mic seems to be on a delay of a few seconds and my other Alexa devices always pick up my voice before this one does. It also does not pick up my voice well when playing music which was something it was advertised to do as well. Alexa can be disabled, 4 red lights will appear on the speaker when doing this. You also cannot change the wake word, which would make it so much easier and more user friendly when having it around other Alexa devices. Alexa also only works when in the Bluetooth or Wifi source. It will not work if the source is set to RCA or Aux. My workaround for multi-room audio was to plug it into my Airport Express to set it up with Airplay but this would not work either since Alexa does not work on that source. Another annoying feature is standby. There is no power switch so the device will go into a low power mode. Alexa still works but when I have it on he RCA input and Airplay, I have to manually turn the speaker back on. I would have loved to use this speaker as part of my multi-room setup, instead it is relegated to my desk as a bluetooth speaker for my PC with Alexa disabled. I really wanted to love this speaker - it looks fantastic and sounds great, they just missed on a few key points. My hope is that Airplay 2 will be an added feature available as a firmware update so i can add this to my multi-room setup. Until then, it is definitely going to be underutilized.

Posted .Hello Josh, thanks for your feedback regarding the Stanmore II Voice with Alexa Speaker. We hope you are continuing to enjoy the speaker.
In theory, Alexa enabled devices can be used to set up Multi-Groups and share Multi-Room functionality, however at this time due to delays with Amazon, this feature isn't yet available. We are hoping to see Multi-Room functionality rolled out in the next few months and once available, it will be pushed out through an Over The Air (OTA) update: the speakers will update during the night if they are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
We can confirm that it isn't possible to change the wake word on the Marshall Voice with Alexa speakers, however the wake word can be changed on other Alexa devices to avoid confusing Alexa.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other feature suggestions or feedback, for assistance please reach out to [email protected].

Sound is great - app sucks - wifi connection sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound. Hands down the best sound from this size speaker. (5 Stars for sound and overall design look) The app is terrible. Setting up wifi on the speaker is terrible. I am in the IT business and if I am having continued issues with getting the speaker to connect to wifi, then everyone pretty much is. (My 1 Star is stickly because I can't use the speaker as bought for - wifi connection) I will update my review if something is actually done about the app and overall connectivity.
