I spent a considerable amount of time looking at different portable Bluetooth speakers to pair with my iPad. I like to have music playing by the pool or just working outside. With more than 12,000 songs on my iPad, I wanted a speaker that would deliver terrific sound both on the low end and the high-end range. This Marshall - Tufton speaker delivers! Made by the same company that has produced high-quality guitar amplifiers used by notable musicians for years, this speaker will not disappoint. Very easy to pair with your Bluetooth device.

The Tufton delivers good sound in a portable package.
The Tufton weighs enough that you would not want to carry for a long distance. Battery life is very good on the Tufton.

Very nice sound overall, but a little muffled in the mid-bass spectrum. Fills the room well and is quite loud, but the midrange and treble are the strengths of this speaker, IMO. I would recommend this for the fit and finish alone--can't beat the cool Marshall guitar case felt liner on the carry strap, badging on the grille, etc.

Calling it portable is almost like calling a Portable AC unit portable. Sure you can move it from one spot to another, but you're not gonna wanna keep hauling it around.
At about 8.5 x 13 x 6.25 and nearly 11lbs, while not heavy, you'd feel the weight if you decide to travel with it. So keep that in mind if you're looking for portability. This is not made for hiking unless you just want the added weight for a better workout.
This is probably my first 5 star BT speaker. The Tufton has enough space in it to have some decent sized speakers and includes high, mid, and low. Just a little tweaking to find your favorite sound profile and you've got a speaker that hits you with bass deep, enough you can feel it in the floor (not a lot, but you can feel it), highs that can leave your ears ringing, and clear mids to bring out the vocals. Even at the highest volume the sound is clear and distortion free (as long as you don't push the bass to max - it does get muddy at max). My music taste falls mainly with Golden Age Hip Hop and the Tufton handles it well.
Power on the device, put it in pairing mode and you're ready to go. Easy as that. So far I've owned two Marshall BT speakers and they're both my favorite speakers. For my ears I haven't had anything better. If either of these units die, I'm heading straight to BB to grab another Marshall.
