Wouldn’t charge, wouldn’t play, so practically useless and a waste of money too

I am in love with this speaker! First, it’s very nice looking. I love the feel of it. You can tell it was made with good materials. It seems like it will be able to stand the test of time. Did I mention how nice looking the speaker is? (Haha). There’s a clip on the back that you can use to maybe hang it anywhere you please. I was connected to my phone in no time. Powered it on went to my Bluetooth settings and viola. There’s a little guitar riff that plays when it’s powered on which I think is so cool. Let me tell you, this thing rocks! For such a small speaker it gets real loud. No distortion. It sounds great. I know it can be used for music at a small gathering at a home or even outside. I’m definitely bringing it with me when I get back to the beach. (It’s water resistant) Not only does it sound great, it also works great as a speaker for phone conversations. There’s a microphone on board to allow this. I’ve found myself using this on purpose when I’m on the phone. Battery life is also great. I think I’ve only charged it twice since I had it. If you’re thinking about buying this don’t wait another second and I promise you will not be disappointed! There’s a bigger model of this one that I’m going to purchase.

This is an excellently put together little speaker! Just from a build-perspective, I've dropped it from a height of about 5 feet, and it shows absolutely no marks and works perfectly. It is also nice to have an elastic strap on the back to allow you to hang the speaker or strap it to a backpack. SOUND: The sound quality is fantastic, as you'd expect from Marshall. This is a very small speaker, but it produces a great volume without any distortion in the sound. The only point that it misses, which is very nit-picky, is that the bass drops off a bit as you reach higher volumes. This does keep the audio clear, but changes the EQ overall. Still, at 50-75% volume, there is great bass for such a small speaker. SET-UP: Bluetooth set-up is very easy. Different phones may behave differently, but mine immediately brought up a screen asking if I wanted to connect this speaker before I even went into bluetooth settings. It prompts you to download an app which makes connecting multiple speakers easier, and has EQ, but you definitely don't need it for using the speaker. As I don't have multiple of this speaker, I was not able to test connecting multiple in the "stack" set-up. BATTERY: They advertise 15+ hours on the box, and in my experience it is definitely on the "+" side. I mostly listen to podcasts, with some music on most days but typically at a max of about 50% volume. I got about 25 or more hours of playtime this way, so the battery is excellent. It also takes about 3 hours to fully charge from being completely run down. Another nit-picky complaint is that there is no warning when the battery is low, it just powers off without warning. TLDR: Great battery life, really good sound with only a little bass drop-off at high volume.

I don't think I've ever seen a Bluetooth speaker that's working harder to exude a sense of class and sophistication as this one. At least in my experience, most portable speakers this size border on being disposable items. The Willen makes it clear right out of the box that it's aiming for something a little higher. Build quality is very sturdy, clearly trying to evoke the amps it's based on. The entire thing is wrapped in a thick rubber shell that makes it reasonably resistant to both water and impact. There's a very nice rubber wrist strap on the back that can completely disappear when you're not using it, or serve as a mounting point to attach to a bike rack or phone mount in a pinch. Controls are fairly minimal (as is labeling) but all seem very well protected. I do have some concerns that the brass paint on the Marshall logo might wear down fairly quickly, but that's the only thing I found that seems likely to break or wear here. The setup process is about as painless as you can get as well. Turning it on brought up a pop-up on my phone inviting me to install the Marshall software and get it paired, which only took a few minutes. As one might expect it comes tuned for the guitar heavy rock that Marshall has been associated with since their founding, and while you can't truly reproduce that kind of sound with something this small it makes a pretty good effort nonetheless. It does end up being just a bit bass heavy for other uses, though you can tweak that in the app to get better results.

This speaker is awesome. Big sound in small package. Perfect for travel, and battery does last 15ish hours. The little strap is pretty handy too, I connect it to a cooler when I head down to the pool. I also have old Bose sound link, jbl clip and another small jbl, the Willen is the go-to.

The sound is fantastic, volume is wonderful and bateery life is long

I am in love with my new little speaker! I only owned 2 Marshall products, but I am seriously becoming a little fan boy because this company just does it right with their audio products. This speaker is elegant and yet built strong enough to take on mountain bike rides. Highly recommend!! 5/5 Built Quality - rugged and jet black so you don't have to be worried about getting this dirty or it losing it's color from tough use. 5/5 Sound - After using this the first time, I completely forgot about my two other portable speakers and actually gave them away because this one is it for me now. The sound is so clear and crisp and the bass kicks in just went it needs to. Extremely satisfy with the sound and the loudness. 5/5 Bluetooth - the range is great and had zero connectivity issues. 5/5 Buttons and Controls - the little speaker can full you at first when you don't find the volume or skip button, but it's so nicely built and elegant that you realize the company took time to built and design this little speaker. Don't think about it twice! This thing is awesome! Now I am seriously thinking about getting their wireless headsets just to compared them to what I currently use. Thank you, Marshall!

This is a great speaker. It is very well made, and the sound is incredible. I own five other Marshall speakers, and I often use the Willen or the Emberton, because of their excellent sound and convenience outside. You will not be disappointed. Many people have written that it is too expensive. I don’t feel this way about the speaker. I can’t help but smile whenever I use it, because the sound never ceases to amaze me. It is a compact speaker that produces a wall of sound. I often pair it with my iPad to watch movies or listen to music. Just laying it flat produces the best sound for me. Best Buy did a great job. It’s only rock and roll but I like it.

Bought this for my brother who is a pro carnatic singer. It worked beautifully in live concerts. He had his tanpura/drone playing from this and the sound was very rich.

YOWZA! I buy a LOT of bluetooth speakers, gifting to music listening friends around the world...and I have most of the other Marshall boxes. The Willen is my favorite now - hands down. Superb!

Cool speakers great sound for its size. Only downside is it’s pretty heavy for its size and the band for attachment is really short
