    Sounds good...until it dies

I have 2 Dynamo 500s. Two years in, the amp on the first one created a huge hum that would not stop. It was covered under warranty. On the second sub, the "auto on" feature keeps going in and out creating a loud pop each time. Unfortunately the sub is out of warranty. While they worked however, I will say that they sound very good.

I bought 2 of these units. One has gone bad in about 2 years. If you leave it on it crackles and now it does not work. I would think they can fix it but like most things once it goes bad your on your own. So i use it as a cup holder. Once in a while it works, but it crackles too much. The other one is fine.

I was very excited about Dynamo 500 and all the reviews I read. I did not find any poor reviews. Unfortunately I did not do my homework well enough. After 20 mins the subwoofer made a loud pop sound and large continuous humming sound that would not stop. I unplugged moved do a different wall socket, changed wires with no change. Them we noticed burning smell. I searched the Internet to see if others have this problem and found many posts with same issue with no solution other than returning the equipment. For this kind of money I would expect it to work, I am returning tomorrow for a different manufacturer. Avoid this product and avoid my mistake.

    Terrible

I purchased a Dynamo 500 about four years ago. Ballsy sub for the money and worked well with my B&W speakers. Last month it started clicking and popping. Then it blew. Sales rep talked me into buying another one. This one lasted 17 days before it blew. Took it back. While looking for another one the ML in the Magnolia room was popping like my old one. These are common issues in many ML reviews. How have they not fixed this? Needless to say I ordered a B & W to pair with my B & W speakers. Wont buy another ML product.

    Auto Sensing Circuitry Failed

The subwoofer was a great compliment to it's matched speakers. For the first two days all was well but on the third day, the circuitry that places the speaker into standby mode kept switching on and off in a matter of five second intervals. Each time there is a fairly loud bass pop as the unit was enabled and disabled. This prompted me to do research on this unit. Others are experiencing the same thing. I returned it for a different manufacturer since I didn't want to deal with this issue again after the warranty ran out.

    Great base short life

With low to very moderate usage this speaker made it 4 months past the 3 yr warranty. Shouldn't this speaker last longer than 3 yrs 4 months? When I contacted Martin and Logan to see about repair they told me it was my amp and a new one would be roughly 1/3 rd of what I paid for the speaker new. Since that time I have read many reviews, including those on their site and discovered I'm not the only on disappointed in the short life of this speaker.

Problem with Amp in 1st Year, Terrible ML Support

My sub started popping after owning for one year. Called ML support, they said I needed to replace the amp on the back of the sub. The cost of return shipping comes out-of-pocket and the replacement could take weeks. Upon extracting the amp portion of my sub, found its internals cheaply made...made in China.
