These speakers are gorgeous. The high frequencies are stunning. They sound amazing for their size. I have a B&W 7.1 system in my living room. I added these two to my bedroom for music. I ended up exchanging them for Deftech Promonitor 1000s. You absolutely need a subwoofer with these in my opinion. Also, I feel like they favor the upper frequencies. They're amazing but don't integrate well with other speakers brands. When I had both rooms on and was in between these completely drowned out the living room. To me they sound bright. Overall I'm glad I went with the Deftechs. I do miss that tweeter though. The Deftechs can handle way more wattage by the way and cost less. The bass from the Deftechs is astounding.

The sound is excellent. I am using them with an NAD D 3020 and a Mac and iTunes. I have a couple systems that boom bass, and I wanted a small system that wouldn't thump my wife and son too much in our smallish space, but that had quality sound. I expected these speakers to do the job nicely, but as stated above, they exceeded my hopes. Especially since I got them on sale, for $350 a pair. I was going to buy them anyway, at $500, and they would have been worth that price, as well. These have excellent clear, clean bass, in perfect balance with the mids and highs, which are also crystal clear. Fabulously small footprint.

I bought two Martin Logan Motion 4 speakers and a Sony STR-DN850 amp. I'm currently running a 2.0 setup and the sound is excellent. High's and Mid's are great and the bass is impressive considering I'm not running a sub. TV and Movies sound great, but I find myself wanting a sub for music. I will probably skip the sub for a while as I live in an apartment, but I will purchase a ML center channel soon. These speakers look great sitting out on my TV stand, too. These speakers aren't cheap, but the sound quality and appearance make them worth the price. I previously tried Definitive Technology's ProCinema 600 speakers and found the sound lacking in the mid-ranges.

The sound from these speakers is clean and clear. I looked at the Motion 2 speakers as well but I'm glad I went for these for the better lower midrange. With 4" drivers, you don't get serious bass, but I didn't expect it and the clarity and crispness are impressive.

Added them to complete my system with martin logan and wow, Movies sound great. these push a bit more bass than the motion 2, which I have also.

Great addition to my Martin Logan set. These are rich with more base than the motion 2 speakers

I viewed the motion 4's at my closest Magnolia location in Durham, NC. It was important to have bookshelf speakers as to make the spouse happy without having a large home theater system. I auditioned the Motion 2, Motion 4, two B&W models and Energy bookshelf speakers. I wasn't wild about the Martin cases, but after listening to all of the different speaker models, I walked away with the Motion 4's. The one thing I enjoyed about the speakers is they did not sound muddy. They were very neutral on the midrange and the high 's were very natural sounding, not tinny or bright. I listened with the Martin 500 subwoofer and together they were nicely matched. No muddy subwoofer or speaker, very forward sounding if that makes sense. I enjoy classic rock so many of the guitar notes and vocals sounded very natural to me. Sometimes a speaker sounds like there is a cloth hanging over the front. I am very happy with the purchase, no buyers remorse. If you are in the market for a small bookshelf with a larger than life sound, I would recommend you have a listen to them.

Great sound for small bookshelf speakers. Superb mid and highs plus a complimentary bass that is just right. Can crank them up without fear of blowing speakers.

Excellent highs and midrange. Very agile speaker that never lags behind.
