Demands to be seen in 3D
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doctor Strange is one of the select few 3D movies that, like Avatar before it, practically demands you see it in 3D at least once. The effects are incredibly well done, especially for a post-production conversion such as this. When neurosurgeon Stephen Strange loses the use of his hands in an accident, his search for a cure leads him to the hidden enclave of Kamar-Taj, where he soon learns to revitalize his hands with sorcery. But sinister forces, led by the renegade sorcerer Kaecilius, are bent on bringing the Dark Lord Dormammu to our world, and the Doctor must quickly join the battle against the Dark Dimension or Earth will be lost. With visuals paralleling the psychedelic styles of the original comics, and with the variable ratios of the film's IMAX presentation preserved, the 3D version is practically a must-see in that format. It's more than a trip, or even a trip-and-a-half.
