I love Marvel Superhero Movies, but missed this one last year when it was in the theaters. Rented it, and loved it so much, I had to have a copy. This movie is visually gorgeous! The colors, special effects, etc are fabulous! I really enjoyed the story! Benedict Cumberbatch brought his gravitas as an actor to this role, and yet he really seemed to master the action scenes as well. There were some interesting special features to watch. This story is more about learning and using magic than having superpowers, so I enjoyed the change of focus. If you like this type of movie, and maybe even for those who don't, check it out!

When this movie came to theaters, I kept hearing hesitation from people, who were not familiar with Dr Strange. As a comic book fan, I was somewhat familiar with him, and was interested in seeing how they would translate his mystical powers, without looking cheesy/stupid. As usual, Marvel delivered with another great character introduction. This movie delivers the Marvel experience; action, mixed in with some humor, and story telling. If you were at all hesitant, and you've liked the previous Marvel franchises, be sure to give this one a chance. I'm sure you'll see many more of Dr Strange crossovers into future Marvel movies

No surprise here with this being another success in the Marvel movie line. This is a nice take on the good Dr. and they do a nice job painting the picture on how he navigated down the mystical path. I'm not overly familiar with Dr. Strange in the comics so I can't say if it follows any certain story line, but I did enjoy the path in the movie. I do suggest 3D if the option is available to you and if it doesn't make you want to throw up (I know some people that can't watch 3D movies). The special effects are cool as is, but the 3D really makes them, well...special. tldr; good movie, better in 3D, worth the watch/purchase

I didn't get the opportunity to see this movie in theaters, and I heard a lot of mixed reviews. I felt the movie was done very well, and was very exciting. It started off a little too fast for my taste, but I understood the reason - the rest of the movie is just so packed. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy is very simple, with no frills - a good deal for me since I don't need a bunch of extra stuff just to watch a movie. I haven't used the Digital Copy, so I have no information about that. If it's like all the others I've purchased w/ Blu-Ray/DVD copies, I'm sure it's fine. Overall, I'd definitely recommend.

Marvel's Doctor Strange is a fun and fantastical addition to the larger MCU. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon who is injured beyond normal repair and seeks more mystical methods of healing his hands and regaining his former life. In the process, he meets Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a strong-willed sorcerer with a clear idea of right and wrong, and The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), a mysterious mystic who is as secretive as she is powerful. Together, they try and stop the villainous Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) from destroying this reality as we know it. The visuals are the true stand out of this film. Imaginative and mind-bending, the adventures of Doctor Strange take you on a journey through the multi-verse, showcasing the impressive digital effects and unique magical maneuvers. I would recommend this film to anyone who has enjoyed the previous Marvel films, such as Iron Man and Guardians of the Galaxy, and anyone who enjoys a good adventure story with plenty of CGI excitement.

Each year, Marvel takes bigger and bigger risks with their shared Cinematic Universe, and each year critics predict they will make a mistake. Doctor Strange, a second-tier character from the Marvel comic universe was predicted by many to be Marvel's big mistake. Gratefully, it was not. The film is magnificently shot, with lush sets and colors. Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton's admirable acting talents bring characters to life with wonderful power and chemistry. Most importantly, magic has been introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which adds an entirely new element, and new worlds to explore.

This was a quite unique hero movie, but very enjoyable. Great fast shipping from Best Buy.

Wasn't sure what to expect from Dr. Strange, but this was like the Inception of the MCU.

I enjoyed this origin story. This is a pure introduction to the character that opens up a unique aspect of the Marvel Universe. Hopefully, they’ll be able to incorporate these ultra-fantastical elements without being too jarring or taking away from the grounded nature of what we’ve seen before in the MCU. It’s much tougher cinematically because, unlike the books, everything is presented together. “It’s all connected” worked great until this point but connecting wild multiverse notions and magic may stress the MCU’s believable nature. The movie itself is interesting and the entire cast really shined.

Love all the Marvel movies. Not one of the most popular movies but still a good one.

Enjoyed the 4k details. I bought the steelbook on sale at a great price.

Since I suspend real world beliefs when I watch a story like this, I have no trouble with the unlikely and improbable factors in this tale. To me, it is more an Aesop's fable, a story of good and evil, about those who foolishly want more than they should at the expense of the rest of us, and on that level it is immensely enjoyable. The idea of being careful what you wish for is laid out well, and the useful idiots who blindly believe the promises of an entity they do not truly know or really understand pay the full price for their rashness. It is indeed a timely message for those in today's world!

I wasn’t excited about this one. But much better than I thought. Can’t wait for 2!

I have to admit that I was a little luke warm to the concept of Dr. Strange, despite Marvel’s best efforts to reintroduce him over the past year. I have to say that this movie is a wonderful surprise. Visually, this is a landmark film. I might even go so far as to say that this is to 2017 what Evil Dead was to it’s era in special effects. It is pretty darn cool to see what the special effects folks did here. Benedict Cumberbatch brings a wonderful balance of humor and “right-sized” drama to the screen. I’ll say that I came for the Stan Lee cameo and stayed for the story. That’s a huge compliment.

I missed Dr.Strange in the theaters so I was very anxious to pick it up on Blu-ray the day it was released and I really enjoyed it, especially in 3D which was filmed perfectly for it. Like Guardians of the Galaxy, DS is a great diversion from the usual MCU superhero stuff but equally important in covering the other cosmic and mystical realms of the Marvel Universe. It also follows pretty much the same formula as other superhero origin stories like Iron man and Batman Begins and uses similar concepts as The Matrix and Inception, but its a fine mesh-mash of the best parts of all that's mentioned.

It was a gift for a family member that is into the Marvel series. They liked it

This is a modern day look through the looking glass. Time and Space are folded like sections of one of those closet door we used to have hanging in the basement. Einstein's theory as a visual effect. If you relax and enjoy the premise of the movie the theory plays out. The visual effects are a fest for the eyes. I've watched three times so far and every time I notice something different and amazing. I have added it to my library, and anticipate that this is only the first in a series of Dr. Strange movies. Popcorn, remote and somebody to watch it with. What could be better? Enjoy :o)

I have been a fan of Marvel since my youth (a long time ago). I learned to read by my mom reading comics to me and teaching me the words - a great time that I will never forget. Dr Strange was always one of the superheroes that never got the press of The Flash and others. This movie did a great job of building on how Dr Strange can to be and it has a decent plot. Good vs Evil - it never gets old. I will watch this again and again as it has great teachable moments and puts things in perspective for those who think they have it rough. A great movie that gets a big thumbs up.
