This is one trippy movie! Marvel has done it again - great casting, an involving origin story that opens the Marvel universe up to new and exciting realms, and a great deal of their patented character-related humor. The blu-ray looks incredible - detail is sharp and color pops off the screen. Definately splurge on the 3D - this is a film made to be see in 3D and every depth and pop-out moment is worth it. Very excited to see where the good doctor goes in the future of the franchise!

Wow this movie hit it right in so many ways. Great Affects, great sound, the story is very good and it's very faithful to the origin in the comics. While I have my quibbles, little as they are because I love the comics, this movie was done by people that love the character and did a great job bringing him to the big screen. The story moves well from beginning to end, the characters are good and it's just a highly entertaining movie that draws you into it' Another great Marvel Movie!

It was a great contribution to the marvel universe

Stop what you are doing and buy this blu-ray edition before it sells out! This packaging is more impressive than the Civil War and Ant-man 3D blu-ray editions. The case is see through clear which might be the first bluray case to do so. Then everything is made out of plastic... even the slipcover and the cover inside the case. Then this movie has the DVD and a special lenticular small picture that you can tape on your wall. This is the definition of a collectors edition boxset !

In Marvels latest release things start to get a bit Strange. The film introduces viewers to Dr. Strange, a welcome addition who adds new elements to an expanding Marvel universe. The film is an enjoyable origin story for the doctor, though it is a bit predictable at times and suffers from another fairly week Marvel villain (Not at the fault of Mads, he played the role very well). If you have enjoyed the other films in the Marvel franchise I'm sure you will enjoy this new entry.

I didn't really know what to expect from Doctor Strange going into my first viewing. Not being a big reader of the comics, I was unfamiliar with the character. But the movie was very well-done. Cumberbatch does a convincing job pretending to be American, the action sequences are well done, and it advances the MCU story arc nicely. On top of that, the steelbook design is very sharp. It may be slightly confusing for some people that it has no picture or name on the spine.

The movie was great on it's own & continued the shared universe story of Marvel very well, but the extras on this Blu-ray make it an excellent purchase! Whether you are a Marvel fan, comic book movie fan or just a movie fan it is a must add to your collection. Great behind the scenes extras, previews to future movies in the MCU, along with other extras you will enjoy. The SteelBook is also a great feature that I have grown to really enjoy & love to collect! A++++++++++++!!!!!!

I have a fever, for MARVEL! And the only place to rectify that, is to buy at the best place on Earth!: BEST BUY! I have purchased all the Marvel movies mainly because they all -or most- come out on video in 3D. I bought the combo (3D bluray-2D bluray-digital-dvd). IF you love Marvel, you will LOVE this movie. Great! 3D is fantastic. I won't say more as I do not want to give much of the plot and story away. BUT pick it up, BUY, at BEST BUY! THIS "DOCTOR" will cure everything!

Dr. Strange has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. When movie effects finally developed to the point where films like this could be made I knew it was only a matter of time before we got the kind of movie Dr. Strange could be. Admittedly some of the sequences seem like they are out of "Dark City" or "Inception" but are done so smoothly that you won't care thanks to the story line. Dr. Strange brings the Marvel Universe into the Multiverse with endless possibilities.

Doctor Strange is a pretty middle-of-the-road film for Marvel, but that's still pretty darn good! They were definitely going for something new and different, style wise, and they succeeded, because the visuals in this movie are great. I just wish they had gone for something new and different story wise as well, because this origin story is told so similarly to Iron Man's, that it may as well be called "Magic Tony Stark". Not sure how much I can really hold that against the filmmakers and the studio though, because you have to be true to the source material, and a lot of comic book origin stories are similar. The movie is good, but I think Doctor Strange's future appearances will likely be better and hopefully more innovative. Also, the Best Buy exclusive steelbook looks pretty great.

Even if you are not a normal fan of the Marvel universe, Dr. Strange offers some of the best storytelling and acting found in any action movie today. With Best Buy's prices being the same or better than Amazon, there is no reason not to go to your local Best Buy to pick this up. The quantities of 3D are limited, but they also have the UHD 4K version on hand. Kudos to Best Buy

Marvel continues its commitment to high quality fantasy drama with this feature. This reviewer was initially concerned that all I would see is a variation of "Khan" but was VERY pleasantly surprised at the versatility of Benedict Cumberbatch. The story is engaging and fraught with strong performances - Benedict Wong in particular, and never strays too far from the plot. Perception bending "Inception"-like visuals, good origin plot and good acting. WORTH the purchase.

Bought this from Best Buy because Amazon does not offer it as pre-order (I don't work for Amazon or Best Buy) Turns out this was a great movie, very satisfying. Not only were the visuals/sound stunning but the story is engaging and sticks to the comics origins very closely. A real coup for Marvel, as they are defeating the "repetitive" associations with action move genres. Each phase of this universe seems to get better, even though it will have to end someday. Buy this!

This was an awesome movie for 3D. The special effects were top notch. I will say not all 3D players are the same. We have a 4K TV, but it wasn't until we bought the Samsung 4K disc player did our movie experience go up another level. So much so, that I want to re-watch all of our 3D movies. People who think 3D movies are a fad are not watching them correctly. Everytime our friends come over to watch a 3D movie they are blown away and this movie has a great 3D experience.

This bundle includes the Blu-Ray, DVD and digital copy. The only difference between this item and the other Doctor Strange steelbook is the removal of the 4K disc. It all comes in a very nicely designed case which has the Eye of Agamotto embossed on the front of the case. The movie itself is very enjoyable for all the action, and world bending sequences. Cumberbatch does a decent job playing Doctor Strange and looking forward to his next appearance of the character.

As usual, Marvel Studios brilliantly brings a comic character to life on the screen here. It's a good movie with imperfect pacing, but it delivers on the mystical wonder that is Doctor Strange's reality. Bringing such a unique character to the screen was a major challenge, but are we really surprised that Marvel succeeded in doing it? The 3D blu-ray delivers as well, bringing extra dimension to the...well...extra dimensions! This is a great movie to have in 3D high-def!

Watched this movie hearing it was different from the previous Marvel offerings and not knowing what to expect. Found this movie to be just as entertaining as some the better Marvel movies previously released. This movie seems like a mixture of Deception meets The Matrix meets Guardians of the Galaxy. Thought Benedict Cumberbatch was perfectly cast in the lead role. The Blue-Ray quality is great for presenting such a visually stunning movie. Really enjoyed the outtakes.
