I sprung for the limited edition 3D steelbook and very glad I did. The Packaging is nice and sturdy with best buy exclusive logo. In my opinion, Dr strange should ONLY be viewed in 3D as it completely transforms the movie. Depth and layer separations are on part with Avatar, if you can believe it. Several iMax scenes were saved for home release and this look truly glorious!

The Marvel formula is in full-force here: 1. Introduce new character with clear likability but personal shortcomings (witty but cocky Stephen Strange) 2. Make new character super-powered by way of mystic/wise/brilliant/special mentor or ability (Ancient One) 3. Introduce novel mechanic complete with unique visual treatment/style (kaleidoscopic/Escherian space manipulation) 4. Threaten one or more large urban centers (redacted to avoid spoilers) 5. Save the day 6. Tie into the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe It's not revolutionary, but it's fun. If you're still chomping popcorn to the same dance as every other Marvel film like I unashamedly am, then you'll enjoy this one too. Add one star if you're a dedicated fanboy/fangirl of Binglewack Candlepatch.

I have been a pretty big fan of the marvel movies and the universe that they have created it. This one was a nice change to be more mystical and more on the fantasy side. I hope that it will connect with the newer Thor movie. This movie looked really good in the theaters and the 3D at home looked really good with the special visual effects. If you like Marvel and are looking for something a little more on the fantastical side this movie will look really good at home.

This was a difficult title to find but a good one. Amazon was actually sold out of Blu Ray copies but the Steelbook from Best Buy is worth the extra cash, plus if I ever had a 3D TV I have at least one film, this one, to watch. The movie itself was a welcome surprise, the Ditko imagery was a true homage to the artistry of the early Doctor Strange books. The steel book has it all, DVD, Blu Ray, 3D, and digital HD. A great collectible item that stands out on any shelf.

A pretty nice upgrade compared to the blu ray release. Many scenes truly pop with the 4k HDR which was easily noticeable. I always thought that even the regular DVD of Doctor Strange was excellent but the 4k.. easily some of the best quality from a Marvel movie.

I saw this movie on opening night in IMAX 3D. That was a sensory experience to say the least. Yes, this intro to Strange is somewhat formulaic, but where the movie shines is in the visuals and the sound. If you saw this in IMAX 3D as well, then be relieved they do the variable aspect ratios. The sound design on here is also top notch... ESPECIALLY with the bass. If your sub needs a good workout, then here you go. Personally, haven't made it to the extras yet, which are likely the standard fare with anything Marvel. But the presentation of this set honestly is a bit more appealing than the steelbook (and I'm a steelbook junkie). I've long maintained that when 3D is done right, then it's worth the extra cash. This is, pun intended with the character, supreme 3D!

I'm a big fan of the Marvel superhero movies, and Dr. Strange seemed like it would prove tricky to make because of what it's about, but they definitely pulled it off very nicely. The effects are amazing, the story is easy to understand and follow (even for non comic book readers) and the performances are great. The steelbook edition is nice (always wish Best Buy made more units of these cause they sell out pretty fast) and contains all the versions of the movie.

The only thing strange would be if someone said they didn't like this movie! Dr. Strange is fantastic! The talented and arrogant surgeon goes from being a very, well, arrogant and extremely narcissistic Dr. to a person who saves the world and is concerned for others along the way. His transformation is steady and painful, yet, he recognizes what must be done. It's a story about saving the world but also about redemption. No one is without hope. I love it!

A great movie. One of my top 5 favorite Marvel movies (leading up to Endgame). I have watched this movie many times, and even though it is, and has been on streaming services, I still wanted to won it and for the great black Friday price, I couldn't let it go. Luckily it came in the 4K format and I was able to gift the Blu-ray CD

Doctor Strange is a visual spectacle, especially in 3D! The movie has a good story with good character development and is a lot of fun to watch.The action scenes amazed and mesmerized me. As soon as the film was over i wanted to watch it again. This is my favorite Marvel film since Guardians of the Galaxy. While not your typical superhero movie I do recommend it to anyone who likes superhero movies and likes trippy action scenes. 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed quite a few laptops before choosing this one. Cons: just a few. The body does get fingerprint marks everywhere but that doesn't affect the machine just appearance. The trackpad is a little sensitive and I end up using the touch screen more. PROS: love how quickly this system boots up and shuts down. Plenty of RAM and hard drive space. Very bright display and for a 15" screen surprisingly lighter than I thought. Overall very happy with my selection.

First off, the Steelbook itself looks stunning. They chose a great element of the movie to make the Steelbook's art out of, and it really reflects the magical flare that the film brings to the MCU. As for the film, it has numerous spectacular visuals that are a joy to look at while introducing several enjoyable characters that you can grow fond of over the course of the story. Great product overall, and worthy of a spot within any Steelbook collection.

I grew up reading Marvel Comics and have always been a huge fan. DOCTOR STRANGE didn't really click with me in the Comics for some reason... I thought for sure that this film would finally be the point where Marvel "jumped the shark." They proved me wrong again!!!! Brilliant movie with incredible effects and even more heart. I particularly like this purchase because of all of the platforms it covers: Blu Ray, DVD & Digital. I'm set and extremely happy.

If you haven't seen this movie, but have seen all other in the Marvel Universe, you're missing out. This is a great movie. It gets better each time I re-watch it. Action, humor, drama. All the things you've come to expect in the Infinity Saga. A must watch. Mr. Cumberbatch is a perfect Dr. Strange. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

I normally pre-order my movies from another site that has fast two day shipping but they were not taking preorders on this title. They had a few copies in a day or two after release but then it went to 1 to 2 months and then down to 1 to 3 weeks before it would be available. I wanted to purchase a 3-D copy but it was hard to find any available from retailers. I found this at Best Buy and was able to have my wife pick it up as we live in 90 miles away from our nearest Best Buy. The process went smoothly. The only complaint I have is they put their big in-store pick up sticker on the dust jacket of the movie. It was tricky to try to peel it off. Would be much easier if they just used a little piece of scotch tape to put it on the movie box.

I got this movie because my disabled son is really particular about the movies he watches. Our spectrum program had this movie in its free movie channel, and we played for our son. He liked so much that he wanted to watch it over and over again. When Spectrum removed this movie from the listing, we had to buy it from Best Buy so he can watch whenever he wants.

This movie exceeded my expectations. As an unknown character in the marvel universe they really hit it out of the park. The origin story does feel a bit stale, and the character is more or less the same as Tony Stark, but it still works magnificently. The visuals and creativity with magically abilities and fight scenes are incredible to watch on screen. I also liked how it related to the biggest universe but didn't feel forced down your throat.

Some movies are made for 3D Dr Strange qualifies on all accounts. The movie is unlike other Marvel stories but it maintains the high quality production values. The CGI effects are among the most imaginative and mind bending and in 3D it is a true 3D fix. Of course Best Buy is where I buy my 3D disks where other outlets have elected not to carry 3D...Best Buy stands buy its customers with the most wide range of choices for the audio video-phile.

While not a fan of his previous lifestyle, I loved this movie as he finally grew up. Learning to be a real, good person and all of the magic and effects that became his responsibility made this move great. Disney did another amazing job, non-stop action, humor, special effects- top-notch, as always.
