I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The special effects were insane. I wasn't sure what to expect since it didn't have the budget of some of the other MCU flicks but they didn't seem to cut many corners. At some points it seemed like it might've been missing a little something but wasn't sure of what that "something" might be. That wasn't enough to warrant a 4 star review in my opinion.

Marvel has done an excellent job creating their MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) to include characters that average people have no clue about. Even though a fan of the MCU, i am by no means a comic book afictionado, and absolutely loved this movie - excellent story, superb visual effects. Highly recommend this to anyone who likes super hero movies or movies about magic or mysticism.

This film has a lot of the same features we have grown to expect from a Marvel film - action, great special effects, and characters the audience can get behind. However, there seems to be more depth in the character development with Dr. Strange. This makes his transformation more amazing. The 180 that his character makes draws the audience in and doesn't let you go until the end.

Marvel movies just keep getting better! There's something unique about a superhero that has connections to the astral plain, that's what this movie is about. The 3d is spectacular and you really shouldn't consider viewing it in any other format. Alas, 3D is dying and you probably have no other choice but to watch in in two dimensions. I'm very sorry for you, if that's the case.

Didn't know what to expect from this movie. Haven't read the comic books connected to Dr. Strange. The effects were amazing. The whole connection into the rest of the Marvel universe I never saw coming in the end. Sure if you've read the books, you'd know, but like I said, I hadn't. Really enjoyed it in 3D. No spoilers here but can't wait for the next Marvel movie to come out now.

After seeing Dr. Strange in the theater, I anticipated it's BlubRay release. I always come straight to Best Buy for movies, as the selection is the best. The movie was great, and it box comes with a colorful protected sleeve, that reveals an awesome cover to boot. It comes with every copy you can think of. DVD, blu ray, 3D, as well as digital. Must add to your Marvel collection.

What can you say. Marvel has done it again. Just when you think they will run out of steam they pull off another block buster. If you have not seen this yet do yourself a favor. The combo pack with the digital copy is great. I would not redeem it on Fandangonow though their customer service sucks and your movie will not be available in your ultraviolet account, only Fandangonow.

Once again NYC and the world is in danger and a superhero is there! Simple? Yes! No? The Marvel Universe is expandeding at a rapid rate and a lot of the characters are over-the-top, over make-up-ed and silly. This is not one of them. The special effects, storyline and comedy by one of today top actors, makes this movie a bit more serious to enjoy with non-comic loving friend.

And VERY good in general. Some things about it feel formulaic with similar origin story elements. But there are a few twists and the action is great, incredible 3d effects throw all the magic at you. I love the ending too, it's not the same as all the other Marvel Movies. Ofcourse the 7.1 Surround will test your neighbors. It's spread throughout all channels with BOOMING Bass.

You would think that, after all this time, Marvel would have a misfire or two. Yes, not every movie has been "Civil War" quality, but none have been "Suicide Squad" bad either. Well, Marvel has done it again with Dr. Strange. While this is a movie that begs to be seen on the big screen, and in 3D, it is still an enjoyable, and spectacularly visual, film. Don't pass this one up.

I thought the movie was good but not great. I go to all the Marvel movies because I'm a big comic book fan. I like to see how the comic comes across as a movie. I felt that this was not one of the better Marvel movies. But I like having all of the Marvel movies because maybe after a second viewing I might enjoy it more. I have a lot of the steel books of the comic book movies.

This was and still is my favorite movie in the entire MCU. Especially watching it on 4K Blu ray makes it that much better. Planning on re-watching it this Fall when I get my 65" Oled Tv whether it being the LG CX or the presumed SOny A9H Oled supposedly coming out in September. So the rumors say. Great movie.

I love marvel films and I was so glad to upgrade this to a 4k and definitely not disappointed the vibrant colours are more brighter and it’s like watching it for the first time all over again

While it's not flawless for sure, this movie is absolutely great. Benedict Cumberbatch plays a great protaganist leading up to his hero journey. The supporting characters were nice, and it's a really fresh take on the super heroes that we are used to seeing today being one that deals with reality and magic like we've never seen. Absolutely great visual effects (highly recomend watching in 3d if you can since it actually helps immerse in the visions that freak out the character). The villain was a little wasted, but still alright, and it has kind of a hard grip on passage of time, but still highly recommend it.

I was not able to see this movie in the theater so I could not wait for it to come out on 3D Blu ray. My patience paid off as this movie really knows how to work the 3D functionality on your TV. The picture literally POPS off your screen and gets in your face in some scenes! Disney/Marvel really knows how to work the effects to make you feel a part of the action!

IMAX 3D was a stellar presentation, but the truest telling of just how uniquely well done every aspect was handled from writing, acting and all technicals, is present in 2D! I purchased this 3D after seeing it twice in IMAX 3D, and once in digital 2D. This package will satisfy viewers of either preference. It really is that good, and worthy of a place in your collection.

This movie is full of visual stimulation and satisfactory plot line development that 90% of the people that watch this movie will enjoy it, 5% are comic-book-hero's and will not like something and the last 5% are hipsters that don't like anything. The 3D was pleasing without being silly and this movie is a NEEDED ITEM if you're into the Marvel Cinematic Universe ( MCU ).

Marvel once again takes an obscure superhero that shouldn't have their own movie (just like Antman) and makes it one of the most enjoyable movies of the year. DC needs to take some notes from Marvel. Movie was great. Blu ray has reference quality picture and sound. Steelbook case is awesome and looks great next the rest of the marvel movie steelbooks in my collection.

OK. The story itself is a bit generic. We are introduced to yet another superhero. This movie shows the weaknesses and strengths of Dr. Strange. The CG effects are fantastic and plentiful in this movie. Yet the story never pauses. That's what makes the movie so good. Couple this with a decent HT system, you'll watch this one over and over again. I give it a thumbs up!

Doctor Strange is one of the better Marvel superhero movies, and does some really innovative things with the 3D format that elevates its quality. Rather than just throwing a few pop-out effects at the viewer, the 3D effects really kick into gear when the characters start using magic, which heightens the effect for the viewer. If possible, definitely watch it in 3D. Even though some of the supporting characters are somewhat underbaked and Doctor Strange's character arc is more than a little reminiscent of Tony Stark's arc in the first Iron Man, Benedict Cumberbatch sells it, as does Tilda Swinton.
