Another great Marvel comic book movie Doctor Strange is one more to get and have.

This is a fun Marvel movie. I read the comic books in the 1960s and I like this adaptation. Benedict Cumberbatch is superb as Doctor Strange. Strange was a brilliant but cocky neurosurgeon with a huge ego. He is injured in a car accident and his hands are mangled. He ends up in Nepal desperate for a cure which will allow him to resume his surgical career. There, he meets the Ancient One, played by Tilda Swinton, who is a guru/sorcerer. Strange becomes a sort of monk/follower and learns to move between dimensions. Like Tony Stark, Strange discovers humility and develops special powers which allow him to manipulate time and matter. While being taught by the Ancient One, he decides to use his abilities for the greater good. This is an entertaining movie with an excellent cast. It also makes a refreshing change of subject matter for superhero movies. The special effects are spectacular.
