The upgrade over Blu-ray is small, but it's still a great movie and worth it for fans.

Good movie and it’s a movie that kind of sort of got the Marvel franchises going.

This is an Awesome movie. I love Joss Whedon's writing and directing. All the actors put forth their best. Special effects were great too. The downside (if it really has one) is that it's an origin movie. Usually there is so much set-up for the characters it slows down the action. Really, is there anyone out there that doesn't know the origin of these characters? If so, go pick up a comic book or graphic novel! But Joss Whedon makes it work for this film. Can't wait for #2 to see how they handle Thanos. He is one bad badass!

This movie rocks! Big Joss Whedon fan for a long time and his ability to balance everything and remain fresh while reinventing genres and characters is truly amazing. Only someone like him could ever hope to manage this type of movie with any hope of coherence. As for the disc it has enough for every fan boy, to include second screen apps, in depth bonus features and both the bluray and the DVD! A great purchase for any superhero/Marvel fan or just a fan of good action, sci-fi and storytelling!

Being a fan of comics and the Marvel Universe, and after seeing all the other movies leading up to it, I obviously had pretty high hopes going into Avengers, and after finding out a while before that Joss Whedon was going to be directing it, I had a gut feeling it would be well done, because Joss Whedon is an awesome director. I went within the first week with my wife and a few of our friends...made a whole day out of it. I enjoyed just about every minute of that movie, from start to finish!

i have this 3d special verrsion and i now have a 3d tv. i am enjoying this movie just as much as i did in the theatre! i enjoy everything about this movie. it is very funny as all the actors have some sort of wit and sense of humor to them and they are funny in the worst of situations during the movie. the 3d effects of the movie is what i expected! i love it! i love all the extras. they could have given us more outtakes and gag reels but thats ok. i cant wait for the sequel! i want more!!

I'm biased on this as I am a True Believer and Marvel Comics has been a part of my lifetime for ever. I also am a 3D Artist and Digital Special Effects Artists, and the SFX in this Film are over the TOP! Wait till the next one comes out the SFX will be 100X more amazing. One Copy for me and One for the Family.

This was an excellent movie. I appreciated how they brought all of the characters together to create a great story. The action scenes were great and having multiple versions of this movie is an added bonus. This was my first 3D movie purchase. I haven't watched it in 3D yet, but that will change this week...just waiting for my glasses to arrive.

Can't forget Loki. Action, explosions, and ScarJo for the guys, a plethora of hunky guys for the girls, and well known superheros for the kids... The Avengers has a little bit of something for everyone in the family.

The movie is based on the Marvel superheroes who try to fight the forces of evil. The movie is action packed with lots of funny parts to it. The picture is nice and crisp on both the DVD and blu-ray. this will go down as my 3rd all time favorite movie (next to goodfellas and dark knight). the story and the mix of characters all work so well together. it was action packed from the opening scene to the final one.. scarlett johansonn stole the show as the black widow. way better part than ironman 2.. and i thought mark ruffalo as hulk/banner finally got done right. props to marvel for franchising this to be a sequel

This did it. This changed the landscape of superhero movies forever. Now everyone wanted a shared universe and big team up movies, so much so, that Universal even tried it with their horror characters. Great, witty dialogue with reasonably high stakes and fantastic action. My favorite Avengers movie, bar none.

I was able to grab this for a steal (less than what I got the regular 3D version for on release day. Though I already have the movies the extra content that come with this set are well worth the price I paid. I would recommend this to people who don't already have a 3D or blu-ray version of the movie or someone who does and is a huge fan like myself.

I saw the Avengers twice at the movies and each time is always entertaining. So I knew I had to get it on bluray when it comes out. the movie is beautiful and the transfer is great with the quality. The 3D is also great, but some flaws. The sound is wonderful. overall the movie is a must see and for the price its a must buy for any true marvel fans.

This is the film that took Marvel movies over the top from something that was only for die hards and children to something that could be enjoyed by a broader audience. The writing is top notch and has humor and pathos throughout and it never lags in the pacing. Really well done and it sets up the next 5 years of films.

Bought this set on sale for under $20. It's a great movie and all the extras are fantastic. With a 3D, a Bluray, a DVD and a digital copy of the movie it can be watched on any TV or other device. I don't presently have a 3D TV or 3D BluRay player, but that is just a bonus if I get one. If you are an Avengers fan it is a must have.

I enjoyed this movie so much in the theater, that I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Blu-Ray disc. The movie itself is a fantastic blend of action, suspense, cinematography, and balance between all the characters (any of which could've tried to be *THE* star of the movie). A great family-friendly movie ... I highly recommend it!

The Avengers movie alone is enough reason to purchase this set, but all of the extras as well as the packaging make it even better. I wanted to buy the 3D version of the film, which runs about $35, but Best Buy had this set on sale for $20 and it includes a $30 gift card. An incredible deal for an incredible gift set.

Great movie buying it in blu ray makes it better but 13 shouldn't be the age minimum for this film! My ten year old brother saw it when he was ten theres only mild cursing and action. But thats a superhero movie its all action! I think ten is a good age unless you hate star wars like violence and little cursing.

I bought this when the price was slashed down to $20 and am happy with the purchase. Although I likely won't end up using the gift card, due to the limitations on the website, the book will make a great gift for my nephews and you all know about the movie since it made a quadrillion dollars at the box office.
