An awesome remastered version of the classic film!

The movie holds up well as a glorious musical. The acting, singing, choreography, staging, special effects are all great. The plot still works. This is a movie my wife and I love watching over and over. The blu ray version is beautiful. The quality of the image shows itself during the extreme close-ups of Julie Andrews and Dick VanDyke -- the images are crystal clear with no blurring on a high quality 53 inch LCD HDTV. The sound is excellent. The DVD authoring is a little idiosyncratic. Though "resume play" is activated but is only present after a lengthy video introduction and it is hard to bypass the "previews." There is a paucity of extras.

the 5oth Anniversary edition of Mary Poppins on blu-ray is superb. The PQ (picture quality) and SQ (sound quality) is out of this world for such an older release. Disney really put in the effort to bring this release to perfection. The colors pop and the songs have never sounded more glorious. I do have a Denon 1250W receiver that decodes the Master Audio (HD sound) track. I always say if you upgrade to blu-ray which everyone should do, upgrade your home theater system as well. Thank you Black Friday at Best Buy. Anyways, this is a classic and should be owned by. Remember, this movie is considered Walt Disney's best movie and his own personal favorite. Also, its great to watch this after seeing Saving Mr. Banks. It gives you a better appreciation for the movie.

She loved the new movie. She had never seen the the original. So I purchased it for her as a gift. She really enjoyed it and I hope she had fun watching it.

Bought this for the grand kids to enjoy since they just watched mary poppins returns and i thought they should see the original. they liked it.

Julie Andrews literally sweeps onto the screen,takes home an Oscar as a magical nanny who arrives by air outside of the troubled Banks household. Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane will never be the same as this magical nanny illuminates the meaning of family. Great for children of all ages, fans of classic films as well as classic animation. MARY POPPINS has never looked, nor sounded, better on home video than on this blu-ray. buy it, play it. play it again.

Never seen this but added it because it was Disney classic and I had to complete the set. Don't know if I'll ever watch. Personally.

Love this movie from my childhood. Really only by physical media if it has an extra like this fantastic steelbook case.

When Jane (Karen Dotrice) and Michael (Matthew Garber), the children of the wealthy and uptight Banks family, are faced with the prospect of a new nanny, they are pleasantly surprised by the arrival of the magical Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews). Embarking on a series of fantastical adventures with Mary and her Cockney performer friend, Bert (Dick Van D), the siblings try to pass on some of their nanny's sunny attitude to their preoccupied parents (David Tomlinson, Glynis Johns).

Julie Andrews, Dick VanDyke, the songs, and the dances put this one up there with the best. This is well worth your time.

This is a Steelbook and Steelbooks and awesome but...I wanted it to be in 4K. It is a bummer but Steelbooks are sweet!
