Perhaps some of our favor for this DVD is based on the movie itself, but we all love it! The fact that we were able to add Mary Poppins to our digital library with this purchase turned out to be a lifesaver. While traveling, we were stuck for several hours in the airport, but the kids were excited to finish watch this movie on our tablets (thank goodness we had access to an outlet!) It's been great sharing this gem from our childhood, with our kids!

This film is a classic and deserved to be released with a nice steelbook.

I haven't watched this movie since I was a child. Now that there are little ones in the household to entertain, it was a joy to watch it again and have the children mesmerized by the songs, dancing and special effects. The plot still works as it's a mirror of the grandchildren I occasionally take care of. At the end of the move, I would remind them that Mary Poppins will be here soon and they would behave.

A classic movie for the whole family to watch! Fun to sing along to.

After seeing the movie "Saving Mr. Banks", this was a "must see" movie! Knowing the backstory of how the movie was actually produced made watching it so much more enjoyable! I remember watching the movie years ago, but just thought of it as another Disney masterpiece. But knowing what Walt Disney went through to see it actually make the big screen increased my appreciation of the movie! I highly recommend it!

I remember watching this movie when I was a kid many many years ago and I forgot how good it really is. D.VD (his real named was flagged as inapropriate language by Best Buy for this review .... oh the times we live in when you can't even type a proper name...sad) could really dance and Julie Andrews is one of my favorites... kids love this movie still.

I remember watching this many times in the 1980s when I was a kid. This latest Blu-ray edition is the perfect addition to your Disney collection. Not only is the picture and sound quality pristine, but the entertainment factor, the technology of combining action with live animation (back then), and the musical works of the Sherman brothers all receive top marks. A timeless classic for all families.

One of the most anticipated Disney catalogue releases does not disappoint. Disney took care with this one, and did not overdo the restoration as they have on some of the lesser animated catalogue titles they have been releasing of late on blu-ray. Wonderfully healthy film grain, and clear lossless soundtrack. Ms. Poppins has never looked or sounded better. The extras are no slouch either. Very pleased.

We had to watch it in two parts. I don't remember the movie being this long as a kid. But 2 hours is a long time for a kid to sit. Normally 90min is fine. But these older slower moving movies kids still like. But they need to be trained to sit for longer periods. I am glad she likes to sing the songs. She will likely remember this for the rest of her life.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up, and is a treasure to own on Blu-Ray. Some of the bonus features from the 40th Anniversary DVD were added on here, along with a bonus feature with Richard Sherman and Jason Schwartzman, who plays Sherman in "Saving Mr. Banks". All in all, I would recommend the Blu-Ray "Mary Poppins" to anyone with a Blu-Ray player. It's a must-own for the entire family!

My mother likes this movie and shared it with me as a child. I in turn loved the movie and especially the music, which I can sing to this day. My son came home from school singing one of the songs and watched it in his music class and loved it. I bought it, knowing that over three generations of loving this movie proves a great review and a timeless classic!

MARY POPPINS is one of those movies I revisit every few years thinking "there is no way it is going to hold up anymore." I've changed, the world has changed, movies have changed… this now half a century old kids musical from Walt Disney may still feel quaint, hit some deeply-buried happy nostalgia
