Great surround sound for Dolby atmos. You still get those black bars but other than that it was a perfect transfer.

The 4K Blu-ray disc features the most high quality version of The Matrix yet. Remastered from the original film negatives, this version is incredibly sharp with deep colors and shadows and darkness do not look greyish at all. This version is also noticeably "less green" compared to the DVD and original Blu-ray releases, so it is now closer to appearing as the filmmakers intended it to. As for the steel book casing that this edition comes in, the build quality is excellent, no flimsy parts that seem like will break from opening and closing the case regularly. The art itself on the front of the cover is my main gripe. I would have preferred to get the regular case and cover art instead of this, but thus edition had a significant discount over that one at the time of my purchase.

I own this movie in every forma, dvd, Blu-ray and now HD Blu-ray. I believe the biggest jump in picture quality was from dvd to Blu-ray. However the ultra HD Blu-ray does have some nice subtle upgrades. In both the cd and the Blu-ray it seems the screen is over saturated with a green hue. It’s not as obnoxious in the HD version. Also the picture quality is impressive in some scenes. It’s a must have in your collection.

Finally got to watch, picture is very good, able to see all facial details. Heard the audio was outstanding, yes I felt my couch vibrate but I was expecting more. Had just finished watching Aliens from the Alien Anthology, I thought this had better sound and is older. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Excellent movie, and great entertainment.

I have bought a lot of 4K's recently and I have to say I was mildly disappointed in this one. I think that if you already own the blu ray then there isn't much reason to go 4K because the blu ray was a good transfer to start with. So get it if you don't have the blu ray version.

I am a Matrix fan since the beginning, I bought the dvd first, then the blu ray and now The Matrix [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [1999] And I really love it! I know that in that time when they filmed this movie there were not HD but still is remarkable the resolution of this movie. I am really glad that I bought it!

Is the movie awesome. Yes it is. Is the disc packed to the brim with features. Oh, yeah. How's the steelbook? It's cool. There's nothing in the interior but the version I have has artwork of the infant baby in the pod. One of the cheaper and easier to find steelbooks. Worth owning too.

Loved this movie when it first came out. I think I saw it 3-4 times at theaters. Don’t know why I didn’t have Blu-ray but had to get this. Don’t have 4 k now but Blu-ray looks great and good amount of extras too. Probably will get the sequels when I get 4 k player and tv

I got this because I needed to update my favorite movie of all time to a Blu-Ray disc. Quality was excellent, but I didn't care for the tin it came in. It didn't have the picture of the trinity. It had a gross sci-fi image of a fetus in a pod on it.

The steelbook design is not impressive at all, until you look at the back of it. I wish they used the back design instead of what we got in the front. Either way, a great film to have.

What can you say about The Matrix that has not been said? It's a ground breaking movie, now in 4K. If you have a 4K setup and you want more to feed it, get it. Else, stick with the HD release.

I watched it in Dolby Vision and it was a huge improvement over the standard blu-ray. Some scenes look better than others, but for the most part, it is great.

The movie itself are one of my favorite I’ll give it 4 out 5 stars but the 4k disc along with the bluray and digital download for less than $10 is worth it.

I really love all three movies of the matrix series the forecast are OK some of the scenes are a bit fuzzy like static looking, not the best transfer.

20 years in, the first in the series is still the best. Hours of special footage+steel book+$10 regular price is a solid purchase for me.

This is a great update of a modern day classic! The blacks look a little washed up but overall a solid picture

One of my favorite movies upgraded to 4k is even more stunning on a 4K setup - 4K TV and 4K DVDplayer

Movie looks good but not great as I expected being in 4k but for the price couldn't pass it up.

I like the art for the steelbook. Any Matrix fan should get it since its sucha good price

The 4K version is so much better than the Blu-ray version! BB price was also gr8!
