I've never been more disappointed. I read all the reviews and it seems most were very happy with this dishwasher. That's not the case with me. I wish I had done more research (I've since read some articles that specifically review this product and they also say it doesn't clean well.)or spent some more money for a Bosch or Kitchen Aid. My 10+ year old Bosch dishwasher works better than this one. 75% of my dishes come out dirty and I have to hand wash anyway. I've tried all the troubleshooting tips I could read...even went as far as pulling it out and unhooking everything, checking all the hoses and drainage, cleaning any spray hole with a toothbrush. I don't have hard water, but played around with soap and rinse aid levels. Checked the water temp, it's hot. Played around with different cycles. Got out a level to make sure the machine was perfectly level. Nothing makes a difference, they still come out dirty.

The bottom rack is all uniform spacing which is basically too small for any size bowls unless you stagger them far apart. I struggle to fit anything in with any organization. We end up kinda piling. Also it starts to smell a day after we run it whether there is anything much in it or not. I believe its the garbage disposal. Calling and hoping it's hooked up improperly. Had no trouble with our last dishwasher for 17 years.

I've always had good luck with Maytag, I had a washer & dryer set for 18yrs, dryer is still going and I replaced washer in August. Anyway I did research and read reviews before purchasing. The Dishwasher does an OK job only on the 4 hour powerblast setting and maybe every 5th cycle I will open it & go WOW good job! Other times I check to make sure I started it and the soap container is empty. A new more efficient MAYTAG DW should NOT require the dishes to be completely clean before loading, if so what's the point MAYTAG!?!?! I have tried different soaps, rinse agents, cycles, thinking I would find the answer, I just couldn't believe these results from a MAYTAG ....REAL DISAPPOINTMENT

Posted .Dear TXGAL: Dishwasher detergents have removed the phosphates from their formulas due to the government restrictions on its use. As the Department of Energy standards are forcing less energy and water usage, we manufacture units to accommodate and maintain their stringent regulations. This can cause the dishwasher to not clean as expected. We hope that by providing these suggestions made by me, but also other customer suggestions, these will help your dishwasher perform as desired. Make sure the water heater is set to 120'F, as that is the best temperature to wash dishes in. Make sure the detergent is new, and has not been sitting for any length of time. Run the water in the sink right before starting the dishwasher. As current dishwashers will pull in water for a shorter time than your previous dishwasher, the water that comes in needs to be as hot as possible for better cleaning results.
