    Good for the price

I replaced a Kenmore Elite with this dishwasher. I had to have a more budget friendly unit this time around. I got the white and would give it a 4.5 stars. Pros: Stainless steel tub, large capacity, food grinder, and room for large Tervis Tumblers on one side of the top rack and room for bread pans on one side of the bottom rack, comes with drain tube and reasonably quiet Cons: MUST purchase separately a dishwasher elbow (inexpensive, but a pain to have to go to hardware store-feel this should be included), cheap soap/rinse aid dispenser, one should not open door quickly to add dish to running cycle/ slightly open door and wait a few seconds to open completely or you will get sprayed . The dish drying is so so. The dishes are clean and that's the main point and I think it is good for the price.

    Great Dishwasher!

Bought this for my small family. Works great and is easy to use. I like the front display panel better because I can see what stage my wash is in and how much time I have left. After a wash, Every dish is squeaky clean. My only complaint would be that its not as quiet as I wanted. However, the price was right and overall the dishwasher does its job.

    Good standard model

The space in my counter did not allow for the controls to be on the top, so that cut out many models. It is a good machine that is easy to use. The standard cycle takes 2.5 hours which is a little longer than my old Maytag I replaced. Good price for a good machine

    Perfect clean!

Much has been mentioned on how quiet this dishwasher is, but we've never had dishes come out this clean before! Sparkling glassware, all silverware clean. We haven't even used the heated dry yet because opening the racks and letting the dishes cool for a few minutes dries them... even plastic! We are super happy with this model.

I have enjoyed having a quiet dishwasher. It seems to be well built and has an internal heater coil for thorough drying cycle. The controls are on the front and easy to understand.

    Wish I Didn't Buy

I searched high and low for a dishwasher that our deep bowls would fit in. This one fit them and had good reviews. Fitting the bowls is almost all it does well. It's quiet -- I can say that's a plus. But here are the downsides: Have to rinse everything or things don't get clean. The interior design is awful. The upper rack does not hold much and glasses move around in it. Nothing has broken but it's still a concern. Can't stick any mixing spoons or anything up there because they'll slide out. Had to pull out the attachment for wine glasses because it did not fit any wine glasses. CANNOT tell when the rinse aid is full, not even with a magnifying glass, so I just have to pour it in until the dang thing overflows. And the back is still wet after drying - have to prop the door open to make sure it dries. All in all, wish I'd bought new bowls instead of this dishwasher.

    Not impressed

Compared to my last dishwasher, I’m not impressed. I had to replace it bc the control panel? Went out, so we could not longer push any buttons to run it. I feel like if you’re the type to really give everything a total rinse, where it’s pretty much clean, this will be great for you. I do rinse my dishes before I put them but I guess I’m just unimpressed with how pots of pans come out or spatulas, almost always still covered with hardened stuff.

This dishwasher is quiet and cleans well. shortly after owning it the buttons on the front stopped working. The area inside to put the jet dry is a very poor design. It takes too many steps to get started. Maytag is really putting out some cheap/faulty products. Look for another brand...

After using for 4 months, all is working well. Better than my old Samsung which only lasted 5 years. Not as quite as my old Samsung. Like the stainless steel sprayers and it does not clog up. No strainer to clean. It does take a long time to finish dishes. The dishes, utensil, and pots comes out clean.

Purchased 02/2018.Very quiet and was fairly easy to install. The only thing I feel could be improved are the racks. They are functional but the dark color is not very good.Lighter colored racks would brighten up the interior of the dishwasher.

    Smells horrible inside

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The first time we opened the dishwasher door (right out of the box), a horrid smell filled the room. That was TWO months ago. For two months, I’ve been airing it out and running wash cycles empty and the smell remains. When I put my dishes in them, the come out smelling nasty. No way we can eat off that. I can’t even use it, I wish we had never bought this.

    Holds up Maytag name!

We had quite a few dishwashers from well known manufacturers. They gave service for few years then went bad. Maytag had a good sale and we decided to get one . We are using it for couple of weeks. Seems like a quality product with efficient and whisper quiet operation. Long term service? Only time will tell but Maytag has solid reputation.

    Seals constantly degrading

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We ultimately had this dishwasher for four years, even though problems started immediately but reached unacceptable closer to three years. That is just not long enough for a dishwasher this price. The problems we faced were: -the plastics would never dry. Never. Regardless the wash setting, regardless how long they sat (like if we ran the dishwasher before going up to bed so to unload in the morning) still d-r-i-p-p-i-n-g wet. -never as quiet as we would have liked. -the seals started degrading after about three years, leaving black gunge on the entire interior of the dishwasher and on some items. We replaced (more than once) all the seals, cleaned like crazy the interior of the dishwasher (to remove all the black gunge), and it didn't matter. We decided it was just the age of the dishwasher, not the seals: even with brand-new seals, there was still black gunge everywhere. -the lights on some of the control buttons stopped working pretty early on, so we just had to know which cycle we'd selected. At the end of the day we were pretty disappointed to have spent any money, let alone this amount, on a dishwasher which was really only effective for three years. ("Effective" is being generous.) We will never purchase another Maytag product. Never.

    Maytag dishwasher BUST!

This dishwasher has given me constant problems. It continues to leak. The repairman has replaced the seal/gasket around the door to no avail. The basin appears to fill and overflow. And to think I had a previous GE dishwasher that lasted about 13 years without incident.
