Cons; Very hard to unlatch, no button to push, or click to hear, user must just haul at the unmoving "handle". No instructions in manual for how to do this. Text identifying the start, cycle, and end functions is barely 3 mm tall in a very thin font, in a color that doesn't stand out. Tries to sell you a special stainless steel cleaner. No reviews available when I bought it. Pros; very silent, vinegar & water cleans ss very well.

To start with, Best Buy promises to keep me informed, letting me know when my installation date would be through email and phone calls. Well, I never received an email (logging in to my account this morning finds that the dishwasher that was installed yesterday still needs to have the installation scheduled) and I got a voice mail last night with the details of my installation for yesterday morning. So what happens when Best Buy doesn't keep their promise to keep me informed? The installer was a nice guy, but he was having trouble getting the dishwasher to fit in the space due to a raised floor that made the opening troublesome. I kept asking him if we needed to take it out and just find a different dishwasher, but he promised it would fit and that all would be ok. The gasket around the outside of the opening is pretty mangled, but he assured me that this wouldn't be a problem. The biggest problem, however, is that the dishwasher doesn't work. It doesn't drain, and I can't run it since it won't even drain the inch of water sitting in the bottom. The installer told me it was working, so I signed off on it, since I obviously wasn't going to ask him to wait around while it ran for 90 minutes. So now I have a brand new dishwasher that I can't use sitting in place of the old, broken dishwasher that I couldn't use (no complaints about the haul-away service).

I received this dishwasher In December of 2015. It started out ok but by the start of 2018 this washer didnt clean as well and had to hit cancel once and then twice to get the water drained. Took it apart to see if sonething was clogging it. Nope. And actually I even wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher. Well, that went on for about a month before it wouldnt drain at all. So need a new pump and of course its out of warranty so I think next time I will buy another brand for my appliances and stay away from Whirlpool, Maytag and frigidaire. Quality seems to keep dusappointing. Ashame because Maytag used to be of good quality until Whirlpool bought them out.

This was a mediocre dishwasher but for the price, a fair value. After just about 3 years, however, the pump broke and the cost for pump/repair is over $400.... approaching the value of a new dishwasher. I will be better off throwing this away. After a history of problems with dishwashers, I mistakenly "bought-into" the Maytag commercials that communicate reliability. I will be finding a GE here forward. Very disappointed.

I am now on my 3rd control panel in less than 5 years and the handle just broke. Parts are available from Whirlpool but have not been redesigned to last more than 2 years. See picture of my collection of failed parts. Reminds me of the poor quality you saw in the auto industry before they started facing bankruptcy ....the first time.

I am into this dishwasher just 2 months and the motor has already failed. Also, this is almost an exact copy of a previous Whirlpool I had with some minor cosmetic changes. I thought I was getting a unique design not a copy of another brand. I submitted a warranty repair and am now waiting over TWO WEEKS for it to be fixed. Unacceptable. I am just glad I decided not to buy more Maytag appliances for my kitchen. I went LG and KitchenAid on those and have had zero problems so far. In addition to the fact this appliance did not even last two months, it leaves the dishes wet even with drying agent. Horrible, horrible dishwasher.

Do not waste your money on anything made by Whirlpool! This wonderful brand name "Maytag" has gone downhill since Whirlpool took over! Broke down 5 times is 2 years! Enough said!

I bought the older model in 2014. In 2 years, the dishwasher stopped working. I tried resetting the board, tested the continuity on the fuse, the switch, and the overall latch. Everything works fine and the board even lights up but the dishwasher will not run. I recommend trying another brand.

after 5 yrs it stopped working. repair this was more expensive than buying a new one. if you are looking for reliability, don't buy this.

I love my may tag washer dryer which is 10 years old works great. But this dishwasher soap dispenser broke less than two years after purchase. When we called them that part is not covered by manufacturers guarantee. So that 10 year warranty is a joke

Bought to replace existing dishwasher. Could not be installed. Spec sheet states that minimum opening for width is 24". My opening is 24". The dishwasher is wider than 24". Has flanges that go across the top and down both sides. Flanges have to do with attaching unit to sides and/or top. Actual measurement with flanges is greater than 24". Flanges cannot be removed. Hiring a carpenter to cut sides of cabinet so it will fit. Will review performance once and if we get it installed.

3rd and worst dishwasher we have owned. bowl rack on top shelf does not accommodate bowls so they don't clean silverware comes out dirty many times items do not dry 4 hours and 18 minutes for a full cycle

This dishwasher leaked within months and after much work on my end to supply information requested by Maytag, they simply blamed the problem on the installer. In addition, the interior never dries out unless you wipe the water up and dishes often have to be dried. There is no steam vent. After buying a Maytag dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave that all disappointed, we’ll be returning to GE in the future.
