My first impression when opening the box for this dishwasher is that Maytag is getting it's act together. Off the cuff, it's a good design. A lot of engineering clearly went into fit, form, and function. A huge improvement over past dishwashers that were basically a vertical cooler with plumbing parts attached. Despite the good, I could also see right away where corners were cut. Racks are flimsy, metal is thin, and seals seem a bit sketchy but only time will tell. Also, my last dishwasher was a Kenmore and and was whisper quiet. It had a huge, insulated macerating motor that the only way you knew it was running is by the gentle splashing of the spraybar. This unit has a very small motor, and in comparison, makes a very noticeable humming. Anyway, I can hear the dishwasher from two rooms away so the quiet decibel rating on this dishwasher has to be a joke. At the end of the day, the bar to take the title of "best dishwasher" is low, very low. This simply has to clean better and last longer than the Kenmore, which started malfunctioning little more two years into it. But not surprising, as my model of Kenmore was and is a known disaster. If you have had one, you know what I'm talking about...the dreaded malfunctioning motherboard and spontaneous leaking. Who puts a non-conformal, non-sealed, delicate electronic component in a door that can fill up with hot steam? Who does that? Oh, just about all of the manufactures for over a decade, starting after 2010. $500 dishwasher...corrosion. $1000 dishwasher...corrosion. Kenmore, Whirpool, Kitchenaide...all the same. If you're one of the really unlucky ones, you got the lemon that leaked, rusted, and also failed to clean dishes. Lastly, I have it on good authority, from the mystical appliance shop owner in my city, who is as surly as the "No soup for you!" character in Seinfeld, that new Maytags are solid. That Maytag licked its wounds, and designed a dishwasher that doesn't self-destruct as a feature of it's brilliant design. Only time will tell. One more thing. Because all new dishwashers have turbidity sensors, buy some food grade citric acid powder and run a rinse cycle with a teaspoon of it. It will decalcify your heating element and also help clean the turbidity sensor. If you knew the headache you saving yourself, you'd thank me. Only 4 stars because it's way, way, too loud. Come on Maytag...for $800 you couldn't quiet this thing down a bit???

IF I COULD GIVE IT A 0 I WOULD. I BOUGHT IN JAN, COULD NOT GET PLUMBER TO INSTALL TILL FEB. WHEN INSTALLED HE SAID IT WAS VERY LEAKY - THE DOOR DOES NOT SEAL

This is not working and Geek Squad never fixed it after 4 months and 4 visits where they were 4 hours late.

Waste of money and I regret making this purchase. Total waste of money and time. Does not dry up..

Maytag has a good reputation for quality and this dishwasher lives up to its name. It holds large size items with ease. The delivery by Best Buy was excellent.

Cleans great and looks nice. I like that the control panel is on the front, very user friendly. Does not open easily and upper rack of dishes is still wet at the end of a normal dry cycle. Best buy sent without the plug...

We recently bought the dishwasher and so far we are very .pleased with our purchase. Our older model was very noisy. This new Maytag is so much quieter, more so than I thought it would be. The quick start is a really nice feature. It lessens the wash time if dishes aren't has dirty. Also pleased how well the dishes were cleaned. We definitely woud recommend this dishwasher as a good one to buy.

Our old dishwasher needed replacing. After doing some research I found this dishwasher consistently had great reviews so I gave it a try. It was my first time removing and installing a new dishwasher and I found it very easy for what it entailed. After using it for the past couple of weeks I also found that it works really well too. The controls are basic and easy to access/use. It is very quiet as well. I also like how easy the filter is to remove and clean. Overall great dishwasher!

This is a VERY good machine for the price range.. cleans all dishes well and runs quietly .. my first Maytag but will see how it holds up..

I LOVE this dishwasher!! It has a pretty appearance and it is SO QUIET!!! The first time we used it I had to put my ear next to the door of the dishwasher to hear if it was running !! I have NEVER had a dishwasher this quite!! Besides being nice looking and SUPER QUITE, it cleans so well that everything comes out of it super clean and shinny like brand new dishes and utensils! I DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!! VERY SATISFIED!!

We've had this Maytag dishwasher for 1 month and it has performed perfectly. Dishes all come out sparkling clean and easily accomodates my oversized bowls, pots, and pans. Experience with Best Buy was excellent; ordered on-line, picked it up at the warehouse the next day, and installed it ourselves. The 3" opening at the base made it a pain to install, but we're experienced, die-hard DIYers and we got it done.

Happy with my purchase. We wanted to upgrade our dishwasher, but didn't need all the bells and whistles that most models include. We like the simple front controls that include a countdown timer and a clean indicator. Dishes get clean, it's reasonably quiet, and the straight-forward rack is easy to load/unload. I was also pleasantly surprised by the installation process. Scheduling the appointment was easy, communication was good, and service was completed on schedule as promised.

I am happy with delivery and how quiet the product is however the wash cycle is 2.5 + hours which seems quite long. From what I read it has to due with using less water and power? Everything is clean and mostly dry. My old Whirlpool was half the time, seemed to have more space and much more solidly built. Guess that's progress!

Great dish washer. Only complaint is the bottom rack is lower than I'm used to, but than it does hold my tall kettle.

Although, it has longer run times, the Maytag is more quiet and I believe far more efficient that my previous Samsung dishwasher.

I like my new Maytag front controlled Dishwasher I've only used it twice and I am satisfied. The short drying time does not dry completely but I am OK with that.
