It is a good product but it is Leaking and already reported it to May tag and they are working on resolving the problem.

Long story. This dishwasher was purchased to replace my other Maytag which was under warranty (the part could not be found to fix control panel). This dishwasher was installed mid-April. May 10th, I noticed a melted piece of plastic in the tub of dishwasher and the metal water sprayer was on the side of tub.

After using it for a couple of months the seal broke n February, a repairman was sent out march 16, and still waiting for it to be repaired. So much for the 10year warrenty. Its that long due to it takes that long for them to repair it.

My experience of customer service was poor. The 1st dishwasher had scratches when it was delivered. I tried to call back the same day but had to wait until the next day because it wasnt in the system as being deivered. So i waited another week for one to be delivered. Then that one was cancelled because it wasn't brought to the warehouse for delivery. So i had to reschedule. I called and complained and the operator said they would give me a gift card of 10% after it was delivered. When i called back to ask for my gift card they only wanted to give me $20. The dishwasher was now $20 cheaper because of black friday but she wouldn't adjust the price. I asked why the other agent offered me 10% and now i wasnt gettting it. She said she misinformed me. They should of gave me an adjustment and a $50 gift card like I was told.

Works great. Dishes sat for a week without rinsing and it thoroughly cleaned them.

I love my new dishwasher. It functions so much better than our previous Samsung.

We are loving the new dishwasher...everyone in the house love loading it up and turning it on. It is so quiet when in use.

OK dishwasher but not as nice as the GE I was replacing.

My first impression when opening the box for this dishwasher is that Maytag is getting it's act together. Off the cuff, it's a good design. A lot of engineering clearly went into fit, form, and function. A huge improvement over past dishwashers that were basically a vertical cooler with plumbing parts attached. Despite the good, I could also see right away where corners were cut. Racks are flimsy, metal is thin, and seals seem a bit sketchy but only time will tell. Also, my last dishwasher was a Kenmore and and was whisper quiet. It had a huge, insulated macerating motor that the only way you knew it was running is by the gentle splashing of the spraybar. This unit has a very small motor, and in comparison, makes a very noticeable humming. Anyway, I can hear the dishwasher from two rooms away so the quiet decibel rating on this dishwasher has to be a joke. At the end of the day, the bar to take the title of "best dishwasher" is low, very low. This simply has to clean better and last longer than the Kenmore, which started malfunctioning little more two years into it. But not surprising, as my model of Kenmore was and is a known disaster. If you have had one, you know what I'm talking about...the dreaded malfunctioning motherboard and spontaneous leaking. Who puts a non-conformal, non-sealed, delicate electronic component in a door that can fill up with hot steam? Who does that? Oh, just about all of the manufactures for over a decade, starting after 2010. $500 dishwasher...corrosion. $1000 dishwasher...corrosion. Kenmore, Whirpool, Kitchenaide...all the same. If you're one of the really unlucky ones, you got the lemon that leaked, rusted, and also failed to clean dishes. Lastly, I have it on good authority, from the mystical appliance shop owner in my city, who is as surly as the "No soup for you!" character in Seinfeld, that new Maytags are solid. That Maytag licked its wounds, and designed a dishwasher that doesn't self-destruct as a feature of it's brilliant design. Only time will tell. One more thing. Because all new dishwashers have turbidity sensors, buy some food grade citric acid powder and run a rinse cycle with a teaspoon of it. It will decalcify your heating element and also help clean the turbidity sensor. If you knew the headache you saving yourself, you'd thank me. Only 4 stars because it's way, way, too loud. Come on Maytag...for $800 you couldn't quiet this thing down a bit???

This is a great dishwasher for a fair price. It works really well and I really like that it has a hard food disposal. I recommend leaving the door cracked open for a short period of time after the load is done to give the dishes a chance to dry completely before putting them away.

Very disappointed with this dishwasher! Our original Maytag lasted 24 years this one heater doesn't work after a few months and after 2 attempts to get an appointment scheduled for repair very frustrated!

Being a lifetime Maytag customer, I replaced my old Maytag dishwasher with a new one. New dishwasher did not dry the dishes and they were wet at the completion of the cycle. Best Buy replaced it with another one and had the same problem at the end of the cycle....wet dishes. Called and told them to come and get it. No more Maytag's for me! Bosch makes me smile now!

Poorly designed interior. Racks do not accommodate dishes as well as former dishwasher.

I do not like this dishwasher. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is quiet. The door to the unit is flimsy; you can twist it easily. It does not get my dishes clean. It does not have as much room as my previous one, so I wind up hand washing some dishes every night. The owners manual is a joke. It says practically nothing. I cannot tell how much rinse aid is in the dispenser. And it's so low that I have to bend over so far to get something out, and that's hard on my back. I would like to return it and get something else, but that's such a chore. As a Total Tech member, I should be able to do this with no problem, but I don't have high hopes.

Bought this 5 months ago and it is already rusting. They are working on covering it under warranty… who knows how long. A 5 month old item should not be rusting.
