This is our 2nd Maytag dishwasher. We bought this Maytag for our new home, otherwise we would of kept our same exact one we had to leave. It’s the best dishwasher we ever had & plan on only buying this brand & type again. It’s very quiet compared to other brands & does a great power cleaning.

We weren't sure it was on the first time we ran it because it's so much quieter than our previous dishwasher. Some of our silverware is too wide for the basket, but the directions suggest putting it in without the top separator piece, and that works fine. There is only one big basket instead of smaller separate ones, so it's not quite as flexible as I'd like.

We've only had a few weeks but it is very quiet. We've used the Normal cycle and the heat dry and dishes are clean and dry except for the tops of glasses. I looked and researched many dishwashers, and quiet was important to us, and we are very pleased and the price was reasonable.

We have had this for almost 2 months. This review is based on about 30 wash loads so consider this an objective and unbiased review. MODEL SELECTED: I thoroughly read the reviews before this purchase and had narrowed my search down to this model and a comparable priced LG model. The LG uses an evaporative drying process and many said it never dried very well. This Maytag uses a heating coil. The LG also has a food filter/strainer in the drain while this Maytag has a blade/chopper to get the food bits down the drain. I just don't want to be removing food bits from the bottom of the washer. DELIVERY: It was delivered as promised by the Geek Squad guys and they unpacked it and hauled away all the packing materials and our old 8 year washer. They wore masks and we felt pretty safe in this Covid era but I opted to install it myself. INSTALL: Went pretty quick after a trip to the local store to buy the water inlet elbow adapter. I knew I would need it; I was reusing the old water line and power cable from the haul-away washer and the online install guide tipped me off to that. I also needed a small cable clamp for the power cable (didn't know that) in their power box assembly. The only snag was trying to set the height adjustment of the unit; it was about 1-1/2" too high. The guide explains how to remove and reattach the wheel/feet to one of 5 holes and labels them as 1-5. They even have a table to indicate which hole to use for different heights. But the holes themselves are not stamped or labeled on the frame. Took me two tries to guess the right hole. OPERATION: PROS- Overall, very satisfied. VERY quiet. Looks good too. Buttons easy to press and figure out which wash cycle to use thanks to the guide. Love the stainless tub, looks great. Drying works fine, no damp/moist stuff except a bit on the plastic ware on top shelf (farthest from heating coil). That is to be expected. People who complain about the drying are not allowing the entire dry cycle to process completely before they open the door. CONS - The lights on the panel are VERY bright - I tried to look at the button labels one night to see what was selected and those lights almost blinded me. SUPER bright LEDs make it impossible to read the buttons. I fixed this with small black decals pulled off a sheet of decal letters (use the . or the , ) So, OK, here's the reason for the -2 star ding on the rating. The vertical tines in the bottom are spaced about 1" apart for plates and bowls. This is WAY too narrow for dinner plates; they do not stand upright in the washer. Ours are 1-1/2" high (thick) from the bottom to the top lip of the plate. So they lay down to one side at a sharp angle, right on top of the other plates and covering the silverware basket. This blocks the flow of the water spray from reaching the full surface area of the plate and silverware. Saucers and smaller plates fit fine and you can get a lot in the machine. But full size plates and salad bowls will need to be spaced apart 2 or 3 spaces so the spray reaches all areas on the plates. Really a bad design; they made more tines so it looks like you can get more in there but in reality, less plates/bowls can fit properly upright to be cleaned.

This model doesn't dry effectively. The dishes are wet after the cycle finishes. Also the keys on the front are awkward when closing the door you can't help touching the keys. One additional issue, the loading setup doesn't allow for bulky pans unless you face them down which reduces the amount of space left.
