Multiple Problems with This Maytag Dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Maytag model was poorly designed and made by cutting corners. It does not have bottom wheels and uses cumbersome plastic screw legs which are extremely hard to adjust. It does not come with power cord and hot water hose, and the machine end of the drain hose that comes with the machine tends to become kinky after being installed. The way its power box is positioned makes it necessary to use a 6+ ft power cord rather than the regular 5.4 ft cord. Its heat insulation pad can hardly be attached to the two sides of the machine’s body, and it is extremely hard to fit the pad back after the machine is placed into the designated niche. Worse, the leak-proof rubber strip around the machine door detaches from the door every time the door is opened. Last but not least, it is extremely hard to peel off the cover plastic from the door because its edges sink deep into the fissure around the inner edges of the door. Overall, this Maytag dishwasher was not thoughtfully designed and manufactured. It is not user-friendly and certainly not worth the money we pay.

Not worth the money

Went on live chat to Maytag and after a long wait I was told I needed a service call but no service appts available??? Said someone would call me but never did. Piece of junk. Will be returning. Also FYI horrible install. Took forever. All plastic on the bottom.

The top rack is very poorly designed and most of the glasses / cups do not lie flat but rather fall over since each row has a curved bottom. The bottom rack has a better design, as plates fit well but the rack itself is positioned too low in the dishwasher, making the user bend over quite a bit to load and unload the dishes.

Canceled my installation date twice on me!

Then appointment was rescheduled without my authorization for July 15. Called and best buy said they couldn’t do anything to get it fixed. Thwn waited until July 15 and then canceled my appointment again without my permission and rescheduled for August 18!!!! Canceled everything. I will gladly spend my money at Home Depot or Lowes instead to avoid these headaches.

While the dishes are fairly clean, the silverware looks worse coming out than when they went in. Then after 4 hours and a "long" dry cycle nothing on the top rack is dry. Forget plastic, even metal is wet coming out from the top rack.

I'm going to return it
