I've had this stove for several months now and this is my assessment. First the good points: I love the way it cooks, although the oven bakes a little hotter than my previous stove. I really like the convection feature. I prepared a large Thanksgiving dinner on it and the oven was large enough for a big turkey, plus several other dishes. The warming eye on the stovetop came in handy also. The glass stovetop is easy to clean, especially with some of the cleaners made especially for this feature. I've not had any problems with scratching the top, etc. Of course I try to be careful and only use pans with a flat bottom. Bad points: Whoever said this is an "easy clean" oven must not have lived in the days when all of us had to clean their own oven. This oven is NOT easy to clean. Not being able to use any cleaners on it besides water greatly hampers being able to get off cooked on grease, even scraping with a plastic scraper. Plus the fact that if you are middle-aged and beyond, getting down on one's hands and knees to clean the oven is not pleasant. The only complaint with this stove is the oven has to be cleaned FREQUENTLY to stay clean, because if you don't you'll never get off all the cooked off mess! I've not had any real messes in it yet, and I'm having trouble getting it clean. In spite of all the pleasure it gives me to cook on it, I wish I had bought a self-clean oven!

We bought the full set of Maytag (Whirlpool) range, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. After two years, the control board went out in the range. Maytag (nor Best Buy) won't stand behind their product. That 10-year parts warranty they claim only covers certain parts. Of course, the $350 control board that's half the cost of the range isn't covered. It's a known problem that is so bad they can't keep the boards in stock at any supplier (yes, all the online ones too). As for the details on our board, the bake relay on the board appears to be bad. The convection bake, convection broil, and broil work OK. The oven won't get any hotter than 280 deg. F on bake. The Auto diagnostics show a failure K2 P1-4. The part you'll need is WPW10340323.

Love the features and design of the range, but after 17 months, it has had catastrophic failures twice over (not covered by the fake 10yr warranty - only covers 3 items). I paid to repair it once, won't be doing so again. Maytag, if you are reading this, you've lost a customer for life (My family from my grandparents onward have always bought Maytag). My sister's refrigerator and microwave all died within 2 years, and my parents front load washer and dryer all died within 1.5 years.

My $700 stove worked fine for just a little over 2 years then the glass top broke. They wanted to charge a service call ($85+) to say it was the "RIGHT" kind of break. Once diagnosed, said it wasn't covered and wouldn't apply the service call to the part cost. Never going to buy another Maytag or in this case a re-branded Whirlpool.

If you use your oven often, then this range is going to give you problems. It has nice features, but the quality is not at the standard I expected. I have experienced multiple issues after 3 years of use. The oven element and the electronic control board both failed. The warranty does not cover electronic components after the first year of ownership, so to replace the control board is not worth it.

Purchased all Maytag appliances when we bought our house 4 years ago. Of the 6 appliances we purchased (Fridge, dishwasher, this electric oven range, over range microwave, and commercial washer and dryer) the dishwasher is the only one we haven't had problems with...yet!!! This range has been a nightmare from the beginning! Only 1 eye has worked consistently in 4 years. Last night, I was about to place a cheesecake in the oven for our Christmas dinner and the oven started pouring copious amounts of smoke throughout my house when I turned it on to preheat. Turned it off, ran a cleaning cycle and tried again, and once again smoke began pouring throughout the house. The inside of this rarely used oven is full of rust, just like the commercial washing machine in my laundry room, which by the way, began to rust on the outside after only 1 month of use. Did I mention the garbage fridge whose door alarm began going off for no reason the first month we purchased it and the only fix was to put a piece of duct tape over the sensor inside the fridge to turn the stupid thing off??? I'm done with Maytag! Thanks for ruining Christmas Maytag!!!!

When I first received this stove it was damaged (large dent on side) and had to wait a month to get it switched for a new one. Exactly a month later while cooking dinner the burners suddenly quit working on me. For it to be so expensive of a brand and it being said it is a very good brand I hate having to keep having issues with it. I am a big cooker and baker and had researched for a quality stove but unfortunately this one is not one I can recommend.

This stove didn’t last four years. The oven temperature has never been consistent. The oven had a short and could have burned my house down. I will NEVER buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again.
