If so, when you setup your new code, it will give you an option to Extend Your Current Subscription or Create a New Subscription. If you chose to extend, it should have moved your expiration date out a year and you shouldn't be getting ads until 45 days prior to your next expiration. If you chose to Create a New One, then you may have multiple subscriptions and that is why you are seeing the ad. Whether this is the case or not, please contact our support staff at service.mcafee.com or 866-622-3911 and they should be able to help you. Our site is https://www.mcafee.com/activate, but there are many fraudulent sites out there claiming to be us and trying to charge money. Our support site is service.mcafee.com and they should be able to help with any issues. It should be as easy as entering the code, setting up an account with McAfee and then the software should download and install itself. Please let me know if I can do anything further to help.
Very bad product

If you do, you will never be able to set it up yourself, which means you have to call McAfee Customer support. They won't help you set anything until they charge you a huge amount of money for things that you don't even need. If you now refuse to buy what they're trying to sell to you, then they hang up on you. Do not go near McAfee at all so don't regret.

I've never owned a Chromebook and didn't realize it isn't compatible with Chromebook. But Best Buy should have known.

Tricky product

I bought McAfee antivirus last November, it was on sale, very cheap so I bought it even though I didn’t needed it at that moment. When I tried to installed it didn’t work I had to call to the company and after the tech got into my computer he said I have a risky Trojan virus and I needed a better one costing too expensive. I didn’t get the service nether my money back. Time goes to fast and I was out of time for returned it to Best Buy. Waist of my money My computer still working unfortunately with no protection plan yet but working

I'm not sure you were in contact with McAfee support based on what you report here. All of our software has the same level of antivirus protection, it is only the different features beyond antivirus that changes from one product to another. So it doesn't make sense that they told you to buy a more expensive product to take care or your trojan virus. I needed to call the "company" to get assistance from them, then, I had to give them "remote control" of my desktop computer to have THEM install the software. I will not purchase any software from them again.
