I purchased this to serve two iPhones, 2 PCs and and IPad. It didn’t load for the iPad after constantly trying. Last time I deal with McAfee.

The McAfee+ Premium Individual suite is something that is needed in today's digital information world. Getting everything setup is simple. You do have to create an account with McAfee first, select some preferences, and then download the software to your devices. I have used it with iOS, Mac OS, Windows, and Android phones & tablets. With each device I tested the software on it performed great. My main use is the VPN. At first I thought that I couldn't change the country, but I found out that I could in the menu. Having the security is a peace of mind feeling. I can use all of my devices without the worry of someone getting my information. It covers everything. Your email accounts, phone numbers, passwords, everything! You cannot g wrong if you choose to purchase the McAfee+ Premium Individual suite. It is a nice touch that it can be used on unlimited devices. I know of some that give you a limit, which is not helpful if you have a family, or yourself use a ton of devices. I can definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a working suite of Security.

It’s an ok product. Clashes with some apps on an iMac

My exposure in the past to McAfee has mostly been related to the trial software installed on new PCs, often I would uninstall after the free trial was over and be on my way to my preferred PC Security Protection suite. In some cases, leaving the Windows default product (Windows Defender and Windows Firewall) to do their thing, which is providing strong protection (albeit simplistic) on my PC usually without the performance hit other virus and firewall products have. Mmany Protection suites are now offering Android and iOS protection products and a built in VPN subscription. McAfee+ Premium individual follows the same path. Windows 10: First, I uninstalled my existing protection product from my Windows 10 PC, usually virus and malware protection products do not like to coexist and may essentially “fight” each other. So, after the uninstall Windows defaulted to Windows Defender and Firewall, pretty basic and after a few reboots I was back with basic protection. Next, I installed McAfee the installation program which was a bit cartoony but I let it do its thing and then updated the virus definitions and then I initiated a full scan of my system. McAfee has a simple “home” screen interface with Antivirus, Secure VPN and then an option to “know your protection score” which goes to McAfee Protection center which opens in your browser, fine but I really prefer that the product stands on its own without accessing a browser. In any case this is where you realize the cartoonish look isn’t just the setup program, it is their product webpage interface and with items that feel a game related to increasing your score. Well fine, I get the interface and its appeal, is it my cup of tea ? not really. But after all as long the product protects my device, then fine – I’ll play your game. Here where it gets a bit interesting, I benchmarked my PCs time to login screen from a power up, did this for my old protection product, then Windows Defender, then McAfee. After timing all three McAfee surprisingly came up way ahead of my old protection product or Windows Defender, or so I thought. I tried to open up the McAfee shield, nothing happened, well after a reboot it appears McAfee was having some type of conflict with Windows Defender, I reinstalled it and got it to work. Windows 8.1: No issues here, installation went smooth, no issues like on my Windows 10 PC. Antivirus seemed to work well, but I did seem to dive into the interface a bit to find a Full Scan option. I like right clicking on the task bar icon and selecting what I wanted to do better than using the full interface. Android: Installed the protection app on my Galaxy Z Fold4, again the cartoonish and game like “Protection Score” which counted up my points like a pinball machine or winnings on a slot machine was amusing. VPN app worked well as it did on my PC. iOS: did not install, most of the time Apple constrains what most of these type of programs can do within the operating system. Mac: do not have one. Other features: Personal Data Cleanup/ID protection – again another function which opens a browser and wants you to login to your McAfee account you setup on install. Helpful, if you feel comfortable providing the information to be monitored. With all the security breaches and hacks out there, I am a bit wary of providing yet another company with all my info such as all my email address, phone numbers, Social Security number, passports, driver licenses, tax id, date of birth, health ID, user names, credit cards and last but not least bank accounts. But it did show where my email addresses (used as accounts elsewhere) have been breached and information about what was breached. Secure VPN: Seemed to work well, without much of a throughput hit, connecting was quick and with the PC client seemed to not need your location to provide the optimal regional connection, mobile client wanted location permissions, This part of the service appears to be a keeper and can be used without the other features if needed. Tracker Remover: Cleans up cookies, browser cache and history. Also looks at system files including Windows History, Active X controls and Problem Report files. Cleans up temporary files as well as emptying the Recycle Bin. What is my overall opinion ? Not a fan of the cartoonish interface, they do make the functionality of the suite of products pretty seamless and keep most of the real in-depth controls and settings hidden beneath the interface. Those controls are there if you need to change them, for example firewall controls/ports. I was amazed at the number of McAfee processes/programs were part of the “default settings” for the firewall. Also was a bit annoyed by the number of popups from the program itself, although it seems on par with other protection products, trying to upsell or have you use or buy additional services. Will be interested how annoying all this gets towards the end of my yearlong license. Pros: - Fast, did not seem to have much of a performance hit on my PC - VPN might be the value in this subscription, a lot of different countries to connect to, and a mobile app also. - Simple interface and actions for less technical people, a lot of don’t need to touch it. - A lot of items right clickable from the taskbar icon Cons: - Was broken after first reboot on my Windows 10 machine, had to reinstall to get services to run. - Cartoonish interface and a game like roll of the digits on your “Protection score” - Asks for a lot of personal information to monitor, not sure I am comfortable given on company all that information, although their monitoring service seems to identify the same breaches as my Apple Keychain app and other services of this type. - Is a bit chatty, I have seen others that are worse with popups, but this product is not exactly quiet with notifications.

Terrible--Locks you out of websites. The support was not helpful and caused me many problems

Had to uninstall it. I couldn't go on any of my bill sites to pay them. Couldn't play on my game sites either. Money waisted.

This is a bait type situation. Ive had to pay $100s more in payments to gain access to any usefulness.

Wow. What a great product. I love that I can install this on all my devices at home. That includes 3 iPhones, 4iPads, and two gaming laptops. Installation on all devices was super easy. The first one I did was my iPhone. I was directed to the App Store to download McAfee. Then since I already had an account I just logged in and verified some information. The iPhone and iPad apps are a little different from the windows version. You get more granular control on the windows version. I actually liked the VPN prompts and set up on the iPhone and iPad. I liked knowing I was more secure when browsing the net especially on networks outside of my home. Although I found when using the vpn my connections seemed slower. So even though I “Trusted” my home network I ended up turning off VPN at home to speed up my net experience. But when not at home I use the VPN. Installation on the other devices was easy too. I would email myself a link and then open that link on those devices and I was prompted to install the proper package form McAfee. I have not noticed any additional slowness with the software running so that is good. I also like knowing. My kids and I are more protected when working online.

With technology everywhere around us…literally, it is important to keep your device and information safe. When it came time to protect myself, I knew I could trust McAfee services to keep my devices safe. The installation of the software is very simple. Follow the provided instructions, enter the key code, and you’re on your way to peace of mind and security. It’s packed with many options to keep your devices and identity safe. You choose what you want to activate for your monitoring and keep things safe. With their unlimited device protection, I can protect all of my devices, including my wife and child’s. Just the other day, I ran a scan on my son’s computer and found a Trojan virus that was immediately fixed through this scan. I’ve set up all of our devices up for automatic scans every other day. Just about anyone can run this McAfee software. There really isn’t much to it. You are guided through the installation process, fill a few pieces of information, and you are on your way to being safe in no time. I would highly recommend McAfee to anyone.

SETUP: Is very straightforward and similar. There is something that I was not a fan of though. Once you go to the website and put in your code and email address it will take you to the next page for “automatic renewal”. The way they dress it up is that you MUST do this to proceed forward with installation. But you don’t. As underneath the accept button in small font is “continue without additional benefits” which again makes you think you are missing out on something critical (when you aren’t). I find this to be shady business practice. But otherwise, I’ve been very satisfied with this software, and ironically, they are far less intrusive than the competition. LAYOUT: I find the software layout to be simple, straightforward, and easy to navigate. It also isn’t intrusive at all, and I don’t get pop ups all the time on additional features to download, use, or setup (unless if I go to their website). I haven’t noticed any type of significant hit on my system(s) either. It includes an unlimited VPN that is easy to navigate, and online privacy protection/monitoring of your information which is appreciated so you don’t have to buy that separately. I did put in my information for that, and it was able to find results which means it works and you aren’t limited to how many times you can search. However, there are a lot of pop-ups during this section along with having to verify every time which become cumbersome. It also comes up with a security score but I got frustrated with this as well. As I had a low score as many of the things listed aren’t things that you can actually complete. Such as installing their software on multiple devices. As despite me doing that, the recommendation never went away and my score didn’t increase. Many of them were like this. When something was found they also tell you what was found but with breaches there isn’t anything you can do other than change your password. While with other things you need to go in manually to remove them. Which is fine but not as simple. Additionally, you can download it on unlimited devices which I appreciated. As most other software’s limit you to 3 – 5. CONCLUSION: Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to like this software. But it’s done an excellent job at keeping me safe, monitoring information, using minimal system resources, and being easy to navigate. So outside of the “automatic renewal” shadiness I’m very satisfied. As the rest of the wording and things I came across were less intrusive and friendly over the competition that I’ve tried. I thought I was going to use my previous security but I’m going to keep this on my computers instead.

This antivirus does no work ,no have VPN included,the worst product I have seen in Best Buy

I had a older version of McAfee and wanted to upgrade. The older version worked well, never had any issues. This newer version has quite a bit more protection. Antivirus, Personal data cleanup, Tracker remover, ID protection and Secure VPN! It seems to be working well, However, It took a little while for my PC to adjust. My first unusual experience came with the VPN, Some accounts saw my pc as a new device or unrecognizable device so it must hide or change the IP address, not really sure. After going through the motions with these sites, banking etc...eventually had a better experience. One thing I liked, I was able to use my current McAfee account to add the new version. It was also very easy to send links to my other devices for install. So far I have installed onto 3 devices. I noticed that my new android phones' battery runs down rather quickly since installing McAfee. Seems to required a lot of power to run and you have to accept Always Run if you want the proper protection. I did use the personal data and tracker searches to find possible breaches and cleaned up as needed. The home page layout is straight forward and easy to navigate. For the most part I would definitely recommend due to the amount of protection and the effort they put into there software.

It is Very difficult to get to work with Microsoft.

I’m a simplistic person. The easier something is for me, the better. I’ve owned multiple anti-virus’ and started my career in the IT field in the early 2000’s. McAfee has been around the block and I can say after installing and letting the program run its course, I can vouch for its minimalistic user interface and great features like a secure VPN, Dark web monitoring, and file shredding your recycle bin contents so that they can’t be recovered. Anything with that level of protection gets a pass from me. I’ve scanned my files and the peace of mind that it gives you is priceless. With the advancement of scammers and keyloggers being loaded into your computer from a simple click. I can browse the internet without fear of your computer being taken over. Obviously this doesn’t protect those over the phone scammers from the call centers that ask for gift cards. This doesn’t protect against that, in that case you have to literally download a program where they actually walk you through it and then hold your computer ransom. It’s a tough world out there but it’s good to know that some companies have your back.

I loved this product and would recommend this wholeheartedly. I have used Mcafee in the past and made a comeback after over 10 years. In the meantime I have used Kaspersky and Norton and while they have worked well, this package gives the best bang for my buck by miles and just the sheer lightness of the software footprint for Mcafee compared to its competitors makes me a firm believer. Downloading and installation were a breeze and the quickness of the software presence is very much appreciated. It has unlimited devices and that is so huge at this price-point. Also, it comes with free VPN, which, I have been impressed with as well. It is just a complete package in a very small footprint. The download itself was only about 79 MB and the entire process has been made very seamless. On your homepage dashboard, you can get your security score and I tried running the scans and they ran seamlessly and efficiently and quite quickly as well. Gone are the days of that bloated Mcafee software run. This is a very good product and I am absolutely hooked. Well done, guys.

Truly an all-in-one package for protecting my info, computer and privacy. comes with all sorts of tools, system alerts, etc. like Dark Web Monitoring, Antivirus, Firewall, Spam blocker and my favorite PC boost. I have used CC cleaner in the past (almost daily) to clean up my PC to help it run more efficiently but prefer this product given its premium service. I have already started getting alerts regarding my email being leaked on the dark web. Includes time stamp and what was stolen so you are fully informed and can address appropriately. Interface is very easy to use and user friendly. Encrypts internet traffic, which helps keep passwords and any other data saved on sites / cookies safe. Unlimited devices - currently have it on my personal windows computer and mobile device. You can secure VPN from anywhere on any device and automatically turns on (if off) when accessing internet through public Wi-Fi. I have never had a personal VPN before so was nervous it would be hard to use. Easy to login/set up and I feel much safer surfing the internet with it on.

I love how much is included on the premium edition. The anti-virus services work well, and don't appear to suck too many resources off of a computer. Additionally, the firewall that it comes with is easy to understand and modify. The color coded links when surfing to demonstrate safety is a nice bonus. I have zero clue how to test the file shredder, but it appears to work in at least deleting files. I am unsure of any significant difference from this process over just deleting a file. 5 VPN licenses are a nice bonus as I can install it on a few of my devices and surf in private. Basic identity monitoring is included and seems to find things just fine. This basic version doesn't include any identity theft protection or related services. It does however include a nice password manager that also shows when passwords are compromised. Overall for a basic virus protection and device security software, it does a fantastic job and offers a ton of added features. I would encourage anyone without device protection to consider this.

I love having the McAfee Premium Individual device security because it keeps all of my information safe from being hacked. With this subscription you can use it on unlimited devices. This allowed me to use it on my tablet, laptop, and phone for security. I love how it monitors against identify theft and will let you know if anything is compromised. It provides unlimited online privacy from viris websites and click bait. This program is very easy to install on takes just a few minutes to get it all up and running. It runs automatic checks for you so that you dont have to remmeber to do it. So far it has found two issues for me to which i was easily notified and able to change my passwords and make myself better protected. Overall i thibk everyone should protect themselves with McAfee Premium because it protects your identity as well as your devices from the unknown. You install it and just let it do its thing, there is nothing more to it than just installing it. You gain protection in minutes.

Great choice... When I received the offer for this McAfee Premium Individual, I was happy to accept the offer. I have had McAfee products in the past and always found them to be solid. They have always delivered as promised... This is no different. Set up was simple. Go to the linked website, enter the code, download the software, open an account and boom, you are off and running. Interface is clean, intuitive and simple. Seems to run relatively lightly in the background. Some of the primary items it provides is antivirus and tracker removal. These are (I know, I am stating the obvious) quite important options to have in today's on-line environment. How well do they work? Well, so far so good. And based on McAfee's reputation, I expect them to be competitive to other popular offerings. Another nice option is the built in VPN. While I normally use Surfshark VPN, I decided to try this for a few days and it seems to work just as well. Nice offering. Some other items this has is ID Protection and Personal Data Cleanup. I have other products I use but if I am going to go on reputation alone, I would say that this product is certainly on par with it's cometitors. End of the day, this is a solid choice and I would recommend it.
