Let me start by saying that I normally do not use security software on my devices. I generally rely on my the security software that is already included in most modern OSs. This product from McAfee seemed like a nice package since I also use VPNs daily, and seemed to be complete package for any of my devices. It does work on just about every device, but with a few minor issues I had. Installation is straightforward regardless the OS. You can download it online or from the App store of your deice. If you already setup your account then it's just a matter of logging in to your account and then enabling the necessary permissions for it to scan your system or setup a VPN. I use to stay away from security software because I felt it caused more slow down to the overall performance and it was not providing enough of a service to justify that sacrifice in performance. I can say that this software seems to be fairly lightweight and have not noticed it slowing down my system in any way. One thing that I used to get annoyed by is still here. I get random popups on my Windows laptop, and Android phone about scans, threats, and even ads to upgrade to different services. Each notification has been to tell me that there are no threats and everything is great. I think I'd rather just be told if there is something that needs my attention then to be notified a bunch of times that everything is fine. The ad popups are also annoying considering this is already a paid service. The security seems to robust and even will monitor the web for your information. The VPN is a nice touch, but limited. You aren't really able to choose what server to connect your VPN to. You are just left to hope that McAfee is choosing the closest, or fastest server for you. I use another VPN that gives you more customization to what server you can choose which I appreciate. This is a good security software. I could definitely without the constant notifications and ads. I have it running on my iPhone, iPad, android phone, and Windows laptop. I feel like the ads and issues with notifications are primarily on the android phone and Windows laptops. I would also like for the VPN to allow for more choices in connection options. If you need a basic VPN with out the customization and you are running on a iOS or iPadOS device then this might be great for you, or if you don't mind a barrage of notifications.

I came away from my first week with McAfee Premium+ pretty impressed with how far the premium products have come from the last time I have used McAfee about 5 years ago. Activation and installation were simple. I still had an account with McAfee and it automatically applied the license to my account when I signed in. It installed the WebAdvisor extension for Chrome for enhanced phishing protection when browsing. The software is pretty lightweight in terms of resources. While I haven't run any actual benchmarks, by seat of the pants feel I have been able to game without a noticeable drop in performance. While I said lightweight, I don't mean it was totally unobtrusive. Personally I hate software that pings you with notifications from minute you install it, and McAfee definitely wasn't distraction-free at the start. The notifications haven't been continuous, though. Also, it is weird to me that several features in the app are limited in advance of being discontinued. As a new user, it is discomforting to sign in for the first time and be presented with several features that aren't going to work much longer. Nothing that is advertised 'on the box' for the product, but still weird. One huge check in the positive column: on top of the lack of performance impact from keeping McAfee running gaming, I was also impressed with the speed of the VPN and how easy it was to use. The VPN automatically engages if you connect to an open wifi network, and speeds hit 300mbit down and 100mbit up. McAfee also takes care to note that they do not log or track traffic when using the VPN service, which impressed me quite a bit for a mainstream vendor. Finally, the fact that you can get all of the benefits of the product on every device you own is big plus to me. Being able to switch to a privacy VPN on my Android phone, gaming laptop, and Chromebook when traveling while still getting protection on my gaming desktop and home server is more than you typically see on individual protection products. Usually I have to get a "family" product to cover more than 3 devices. For that reason the high-ish price tag of the Premium Individual coverage doesn't seem that out of line for me.

So far, I've installed McAfee premium on 2 different devices to check out all the features. And this package is loaded - Antivirus with scheduled scans, ID protection, tracker remover, personal data cleanup, and, a secure vpn. All of this comes with - and this is the best part - unlimited devices. I'm in a home with 2 cell phones, laptops, desktops, tablets - both new & old. I have older devices that are used infrequently, so the ability to protect them without paying an additional fee is great. I'm also paying for a private VPN, so the fact that it's included in this package allows me to cancel an unnecessary subscription. The interfaces are clean, unobtrusive, and easy to understand. I do have one issue I've encountered so far, in the data security section where you can check when & where your personal data has been breached, I had a list of over 20 instances. Each time I clicked on an event, it would send a separate email with a code. I would have to go back & forth between email & web browser, every time I clicked off the web browser, the window to enter the code would disappear, and I'd have to request to send another code. Very cumbersome. One code should be sufficient to view all the events on the page. Even sending via text might be better than email. All in all though, as I previously stated, if you own multiple devices, this is a package you should look into.

The McAfee+ premium Subscription is an outstanding security suite for protecting your system and your data from attackers and malicious content. the subscription is super easy to setup and apply to your system of choice. The McAfee Premium supports all the major operating systems, including mobile devices so you know you are protected no matter which device you use. I have not experienced any issues with system performance after installation of the security agent. It runs seamlessly in the background and will alert you in the event of an adverse action on your system. I love the VPN service that ensures my network is traffic is secured while traversing the public internet. The throughput for VPN is great. I have gigabit service to my home, and while using the VPN I am still getting greater than 40Mbps which allows me to stream 4K content and game without disruption and latency. I highly recommend the McAfee Premium Subscription for your personal devices. It's great for home office use as well. The perfect security package that keeps you protected while your at home or on the go.

Unlimited device protection covering a broad range of services normally you would have to pay seperate for. VPN service, in depth email protection and internet protection. Includes a service that will check your emails you use to see if they have been hacked or sold onto the dark web. Then will also check to see if websites have or are using your information and gives the direct link to opt out of the sites selling your information and using it. Setup is fast and no noticable lag or slowdown of my PC with this running in the background like I've got with other internet security packages. You can't even tell it's working to protect you unless you it sends you a warning about a phishing site or a fishy website trying to get into your PC. I personally have never had such a in depth level of protection from a internet security packages that works and does not slow down your computer or device. Also to give you unlimited protection on multiple devices is top notch. McAfee knocked it out of the park with this level and quality of protection!

If you're on the market for a new antivirus program, look no further than McAfee+ Premium. This program has been super useful in helping me feel protected when I'm browsing online and downloading files. I enjoy the fact that you can download it on your mobile device and multiple PCs to ensure you receive the same protection everywhere. Two of my favorite features are the VPN and SafeSearch. Often when we're searching online, we don't know if the website we're going to visit is a scam or unsafe, and as someone that does a lot of online shopping, keeping my private information safe and my computer free from threats is important to me! McAfee's Safe Search feature helps bring me peace of mind by vetting all the websites for me when I search BEFORE I click on them, so I can skip anything that's a threat or can potentially expose my private information. Overall, McAfee+ provides everything you'd ever want in an antivirus software, and then some. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new antivirus program!

I was a little hesitant to download this and actually use it. I was very surprised at how good it actually is and how it can help you out. My information was stolen and sold so now I get spam/telemarketing calls all day. This program actually informs you of where your information could have been compromised so you can change your password or remove your information from that website. I found out my information is on many different sites without my consent. Mcafee will pull that information and let you know how to remove/opt out. I'm still going through and fixing those issues as it was on 90 different websites. I wish Mcafee had a way from the app to just remove my information without me having to manually do it. This is one downside, but the pros way out that con. The app also has a wifi scanner. The scanner will scan the wifi network making sure it is safe. If you use lots of public/free wifis this is really handy to make sure the network is safe. I did have to turn off the noticiations because to many came through. I work on a college campus and each time my phone would transfer connection points I would get a notification to scan, then the scan happened and another notification showed up. This got a little annoying as I run around campus all day. I still think its a great service and I would have left it on if it wasn't for that small issue. The app also has a VPN built into it. This is nice as its included with the app and very easy to setup and use. If you think that maybe your information was compromised online you should give this application a shot. I feel for the price you are getting real time information about your presence online. I will continue to use this app to clean up the issues and better secure my private information.

Works great and its pretty easy to use. You don't get too many pop ups asking you to upgrade to something that I've seen with other anti virus software. So far on windows 11, I did the install and I'm ready to go. Everything runs in the background without much interaction unless there is an issue. My one concern though is that while this is a download code, during the sign up I had to enter a credit card. So if you don't have a credit card, then its not worth buying, as you won't be able to use the product. Besides that, everything else works good. And on top of the windows app, you get the phone app too which includes a VPN that's great to use when you're on public WiFi. The app and software is easy to use, and keeps getting updated in the background. The website is also easy to use for added features of privacy review there. If you're looking for a anti virus, I would recommend this as a good option as long as you have a credit card you'll enter after buying the code or you won't be able to use it.

For me, the process wasn’t the easiest, you just have to pay attention to what you are doing and follow instructions, whole process took me about 15 minutes, but once I download this program to my Apple PC, I was up and running with no issues. The first thing I did was run a full scan on the whole computer. This took several hours to complete, something that the program ones you about. It takes that long because it literally scans every single file on your computer. The whole user interface is on the simple side, perfect for people that don’t want to spend a lot of time messing with different options and features on their antivirus.

Good product at a reasonable price. I got it through online and works well when downloaded.

I ended up wanting to try Mcafee again just to see if anything changed. And....it has not. The system eats up resources. And anytime you open up the app it advertises more stuff to buy from them. I have a fairly high end desktop I built and it made my CPU constantly ramp up for no apparent reason. Once I uninstalled it, machine is quiet again. I can see why they heavily discounted this software. It is garbage. Now I am stuck with a year prepaid service for software I won't use. Look for alternatives

Item will not work on my HP Detachable Laptop Windows OS yet the website clearly states Windows is operable. If you have 32bit it won't work.
