I had to completely uninstall the previous program in order to install this one, which was a bit of a pain. I am getting more pop-ups and false positives (suspicious activity detected and blocked on this website ... when the website is a major news outlet) with McAfee Total Protection. It seems to use a less sophisticated algorhythm. Antivirus works and is inexpensive. Recommend on that basis, but there is better available if you are willing to pay more.
