In order to activate your downloaded software, you have to clip a box that commits to renewal at full price. Supposedly, you can log in after 7 days and block the renewal, but I haven’t found it.

Garbage

The VPN is super slow, which I tried to get around by using Proton but McAfee kept reinstalling and turning their garbage VPN on which consequently kept dropping my internet connection. I uninstalled this crapware and it essentially crashed my OS, which was a fresh install on a new hard drive with a new USB drive. Still not as bad as Norton, but shamefully crappy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend Mcafee protection.

If you buy and and want to un install, good luck, you can’t, they make you go to their website to download a program to uninstall their program. Even sfter all that its still on your pc. Truly a pain.
