Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed McAfee Total Protection recently, replacing another more expensive version of McAfee that I have had for several years on the same computer. I had to completely uninstall the previous program in order to install this one, which was a bit of a pain. I am getting more pop-ups and false positives (suspicious activity detected and blocked on this website ... when the website is a major news outlet) with McAfee Total Protection. It seems to use a less sophisticated algorhythm. Antivirus works and is inexpensive. Recommend on that basis, but there is better available if you are willing to pay more.

Quick installation, runs smoothly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was really easy to install as the executable file is already up to date with the latest antivirus version. Once it’s installed doesn’t need to update and starts working rights away. I uninstalled the previous version as it’s recommended. I put the executable in a public folder accessed by all the devices in my home network. I clicked on the executable from each device and the download and installation was initiated. Runs very smoothly, I don’t see any decrease in speed in the computers regular operations but you can see that it’s working as once in a while, for example, a little shield poops up to say that is scanning a file that one is downloading from the internet.
