    Good quality discs

Well, these are DVD+R just like any other (I guess). I've had 2 fail (so far) out of 15 used. Again, the price is what drew me to these. And if you back up your flicks like I do and store them properly, these should last you a while. Again, I picked these up because they were a good value from a known brand, and I'm satisfied with what I got.

I have used Memorex disks before and there have been no problems. These disks are good and are reliable, no problem with them. For the price they are excellent.

I found these on sale so I decided to buy. These discs are ok but sucks without a hard case for the spindle. Gonna be hard to protect from dust scratches

    What happened to the quality?

    Posted .

Have used these for several yrs. Quality has always been around 70 to 90 on a Nero quality test with PI failures between 2 to 4 and average .1 to .02. But the last several hundred have had MUCH WORSE scores. Truly too bad. Maybe they changed MFGs? This is the fourth 100 pack I have used out of the last 6 where about 5% 5 or 6 out of a 100 were totally unusable and 20% had poor 0 to 8 of 100 scores but played the DVD OK. Another 20% had Low 8 to 36 of 100 score. Still played some with glitches pauses etc. I am in process of making "Back up copies" of our extensive collection, as we were recently in fear of a Hurricane. & some of our originals no longer play. In any case, Memorex will replace all that are bad SO DON"T throw them away.

These are fair medai . Not excellent, not poor. They need to be sold at a lower price. You can get better brands & much better quality for a lower price. Even here at Best Buy. Sony's and Verbatim's are much better. Wait for a Sale though!

Used to be good now SUCKS

Used to only get 1 to 5 bad disks per 100. Now am getting 70 to 90 bad disks. The last 400 disks have had over 300 bad disks. Plus getting the run around from Memorex about replacements. "Your drive is bad", but I have used multiple drives, "Oh well then they are out of date". "What 'player are you using?", Oh Magnavox says "Don't use Memorex disks with our players", But I also have two other players Samsung & no name player all 3 play bad. "Oh well it means your "Burner Firmware is out of date". But my firmware is the most recent and a MEMOREX drive? Well OK we will send a label for you to return the disks. BUT THEY NEVER SEND THE LABEL. Twice now and going to call yet again. Have called them and given the same run around and info several times. I have found that the MID code "Manufacture code" on the really bad ones is RITEK. Have found on the web MANY people complaining about RITEK disks.

Two of my first six copies failed!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This product is not worth the heartache of losing your data. If two of the first six DVD data burns failed just out of the package, what is going to happen in six months? I wish I'd bought the Sony DVD +R I've also had perfect results with Fuji (bought in 2004).

    Beware of this brand

This media deteriorates. I lost about 40 dvds worth of data from my PC. Upon trying to restore from 2 year old backup Memorex dvd-r's, I found approximately half were bad. 2 could not be read at all. 18 had surface defects that caused crc errors and could only be partially read. I will never use this brand again.

    Very disappointed!

I needed some blank DVD+R discs for a project. I've burned a couple hundred DVD discs before. These were on sale and I needed some, so I bought them. Burned 3 different ones and all 3 kept saying "No Disc" when I put them in my DVD player. I tried using 2 different programs with no luck. I've never used Memorex DVD+R discs before, and I won't be buying them again. I returned them to Best Buy and got a different brand I've used before.

I've bought memorex things for a long time so I figured I could invest in a bundle of dvd's wrong choice turns out memorex looking for the cheapest deal as usual has switched manufacturer's again with a horrible code not one of the discs work in my computer so stick with good stable things and buy Verbatim

You would think being Memorex, these would be a good product. Wrong. I had so many coasters in this batch, it wasn't even funny. I will never buy these again. I definitely do not recommend them.
