So I recently started making my own Games from ISO files for the Xbox 360 and i was stoked went to the nearest best buy and bought the 25 spindle took them home and recorded my first game. Sadly when I was playing the game it said that the Disk is unreadable i thought it was a bad burn but when i tried again with other disks and other ISO's I saw that this was not the case. Save the heartbreak and money buy Verbatims all Verbatims i have used to burn Iso's and other big files WORK

    Spend the extra for Verbatim

These Memorex dvd-r dl discs are just awful. 2/3's of my last batch did not work. I should have known better from my previous bad experiencewith them, but they were on sale. Stay away from them and spend the extra on Verbatim. I wish Best Buy would get another brand of DL dvd-r's and drop the Memorex.

    Buy anything but Memorex

I purchased this 50-Pack spindle of 8x DVD+R DL Double-Layer Discs and had more than 60 % of the discs fail while transferring videos from my computer. I had used Memorex up to a few months ago with few problems, but something has changed in their manufacture of this product and I would not trust these discs at this point. Verbatim, TDK, and Sony have all proven highly reliable for me (95-99% success rate). Save your money and don't buy Memorex. Also Memorex customer service will make you jump through hoops to replace failed discs, and still you will have many of those fail as well.

    Defective Product

Two blank DVDs. Two DVD creation software suites. Two unusable slugs. When I picked this package of 25 blank 8.5GB dual layer DVDs for $30 I thought it was a great deal. That is, until I got home and could not create video DVDs without playback errors when using this brand. I would not recommend Memorex DVDs to anyone.

    Worst Purchase Ever

Next time I will just burn $100 bill and at least that will burn! These disc's did not work no matter what I did, no matter what my husband (Programmer/Computer Expert) did. I can burn any other brand but not Memorex, what a stupid mistake I made to purchase these, and not to mention the time I wasted and the frustration I feel. I just thought that all brands were alike, BIG MISTAKE!

    Memorex doesn't work with Macs

I thought I was having problems with my Superdrive trying to burn some long videos and an error prevented three Memorex discs in a row from completing (a "communication" error). Then I read the Apple Support forums. It turns out that Memorex is so incompatible with Macs that Apple Store Geniuses (support personnel) give away Sony discs when people come in reporting a problem.

this is the second time i have used these discs. the first time i used them i had a lot of success, very low fail rate, and that prompted me to use these discs again. this time, however, well over half of these disc have failed. i have tried everything to get these things to work, but right now i'm sitting on about 35 coasters. i don't know about anyone else, but i don't have $100 to throw in the trash. i am VERY upset with this product.

Literally 70% of these discs have had write erros or burn errors, my mac rejects them and my pc chocked on them, upon occasion when they burn they hold 8.5 gb, not worth the hassle. AMAZINGLY BAD

Bought these discs over a year ago and just tried to use them for the first time. They wont work in my burner maybe because it is 4 years old - last firmware available is 3 years old. Better have a new drive to use these discs. BTW- the drive is rated at 8x for DL discs.

    DONT BUY

I have burned countless dvds and cds on my computer and never had a problem, but so far only 6 of the 17 of these dvds have successfully downloaded. What happens is after burning, the dvd has parts (where there should be information) that is unreadable, so chapters of my movies are unreadable and it skips the chapter. Do not buy.

Out of the last 10 dvd's i tried burning 7 were spit out with errors. I even tried converting the files to an ISO image and then burning it on the DVD, but 1 out of 3 got rejected. I would recommend buying another brand.

These are the worst disks I've ever used these are garbage, I originally tried to burn these at 4x didn't work, 2x didn't work even 1x didn't work and that was over a span of three days and about 7 disks. Luckily I kept my reciept, I'll stick to my Verbatim's instead.

I'm using a new aluminum 2.4 macbook with a superdrive and iDVD. Out of 5 tries 4 discs ejected with under 20 min. left after a 6 hr wait encoding. One disc finished but when you play it back in a DVD player it pauses for about a minute when changing layers.

Though most of the discs I recorded were fine, after 6 to 12 months, the discs, though properly stored, deteriorated to the point of being unreadable.

I go to play the disc in my DVD player and I get the digital blocks, DVD stops, skips. It just does not play. Clening the DVD optic's and disc does not help. I would say 75% of the disc I burm have to be done again and hope this one play OK.

Like other reviews, I have had the same challenges. Out of the 25-pack, I have managed to write to 3 in total. I expect to return them and get a refund/credit.
