I bought these for Xbox 360 back-ups, and they are horrible. I bought 50, and so far every burn has been a coaster. They are a complete waste.

    Can Count on Them

I've been using them for a short time and didn't know anything about what I'm supposed to use. I took a chance on these because I know the Memorex name. It's not a HD finish, but they're good enough that I forget that part all together. The price is great compared to the others, and you can write on them, which is great! I just ordered 100 more.

I've used at least 500 Memorex DVD-Rs, so far no coasters that were caused by Memorex. I've used other brands and also had good luck but these are usually at a better price than other major brands. The design has changed several times that I have seen but there is always room to label the disc and with the print being a gloss vs matte finish you can write over the top of it; if you need to. As a DVD-R there can be compatibility isues with some players etc but I have tried these on at least a dozen DVD players at friends and families houses. They also work fine in my X-Box PS2 and a DVD-ROM drive in an older PC.

Great quality, durable and 4.7GB memory. The 100 disc spindle is the way to go. Burn time isn't to bad. One big question a lot of people ask, what's the difference between -R and +R. I prefer DVD-R, from what I was able to research there's not really a big difference between +R and -R. Pretty much -R will work on older DVD players more often then a +R.

memorex media is good quality discs and I have used it as well as other brands ie. fuji, tdk, sony, imation, ectra and memorex in my opinion works best. It is rated at 16X and it burns at 16X with no coasters. I also try to catch these disks on sale...they are a good value for the money at regular price but a much better value on sale...try to catch them on sale.

I don't understand why people complain. I've been using these same Memorex DVD-R's for almost a year now, and I've never had one disc go bad during the burning process. I've used the same disc type on four different PC's all with different types of drives, and I've burned at all different speeds. Still no problems. I have had some pretty bad experiences with DVD-R DL's, and that sucks because the cost so much more.

never had a problem with memorex. i would reccomend to everyone that whatever the speed of your burner, only burn at half the rated speed. if you burn wide open and push your burner(no matter what kind you have) you're just asking for writng problems.if you're an idiot and habve to burn at 22x all the time , you need to speed the money on TY media.
