Great for recording on PC or DVR.

Since it is a DVD+R can only record to it once, so don't have to worry about erasing or recording over whatever is put on a disc. However, can't re-use the disc once recordings are made and the disc is completely full (which is why it is only +R). If you want to be able to re-record on the disc buy DVD+RW discs.

Value for my money is always my first choice

Major Need for Back Up

We have purchased another external hard drive, but are also using these to back up our pro and family images. Stored correctly they will be viable for a long time to come. Eventually we will need a second permanent home for these images.
