extremely disappointed in a well-known name product

What I expected, nothing really to rave about.....

This boombox seemed to have everything I was looking for, but the music quality from the speakers was poor. Reception was also poor. I returned it and bought a Sony which I'm very happy with.

I thought that it would be better reception with the digital tuner. Bought it for my dad so he can listen to ball games on the am stations. Stations don't come in clear.

Difficult to use. Its very hard to keep it tuned to one station. The stations tend to bleed over each other. There are no preset buttons.

Bought for work. No stations came in AM or FM. CD sound quality is awful as well. Would not recommend.

Should of return the radio. Cant pick up anything on the radio stations.

This item is still working with no issues or concerns.

the tuner is poor with the stations fading out and having to readjust. If you are buying for the radio, don't. would return but have had it over the 15 day limit.

Used it 2 times, now it doesnt work! CD player wont play cds

Volume goes up and down without touching the volume knob. Not very pleased with this product.

Disappointed not that good when it worked and lasted 2 days.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas to replace her old CD player in her room. She likes to listen to music at night when she goes to sleep, and I prefer she listen to CD's instead of the radio. The sound is fine for in her bedroom, I haven't maxed out the volume, but it's seems like it would be loud enough if she wanted it louder. The sound is decent - not quite as good as the Sony this was replacing, but still good. The only thing I don't like about this radio is that the blue light that comes on when you turn it on is very bright, especially in a dark room. She doesn't like it (I've turned it around so it isn't facing her bed). There is no dim feature on that light, nor is there a sleep, or auto off, feature, so if I forget to turn it off after she goes to bed, her room glows blue all night. Other than that, it's a good radio for the price.

I was very disappointed with this product especially after reading so many good reviews. I don't understand why this product received good marks. I know the product is not expensive but I expected for it to have at least average sound and build quality. SOUND: I would rate the sound quality to be a 2 out of 10 with 10 being the best. The speakers seem very underpowered and just aren't very good. The bass function is a total joke. You have to have it on to produce anywhere near an acceptable sound. BUILD QUALITY: The product says it uses recycled plastic and it looks like it. The black is almost a grey. The plastic looks very cheap and has imperfections in it. RADIO: The radio will ALWAYS reset to the default station 87.5 when you plug it back in. This is very annoying because you always have to tune it back in to your favorite station. So what's good about it? Not much. The volume and tuning dials seem okay. The design is okay looking. And it is light (because the plastic is cheap quality). Even for $40 this is not a good buy. In summary, this product reminds me of something you would buy at a big chain drug store that is in the clearance aisle. It's a piece of junk!

The price is right for the product and what it does. Bought as a gift and works decently well.

This Memorex unit is actually pretty good for a small boombox. It is small and lightweight and the sound is fairly good for an inexpensive unit. Don't expect high fidelity sound from this one, but it is OK for playing the radio at work, which is what I use it for. Overall good.

This unit is good use for my work area. Easy to use and light to carry. I use only for CD's and not the radio.

For price of unit it is a great value. Aux input jacks works great with ipod

This basic CD player with an audio/mp3 jack is just what I needed to be able to play some of my CDs for the kids as pat of their schooling program. The price was affordable and just what I was looking to pay (less than $40). The sound quality is good for what we wanted as it did not need to be a super boom box, just a good one.
