Customers are saying
Customers frequently mention the positive sound quality, ease of use, and convenient size of the Portable CD/CD-R/RW Boombox with AM/FM Radio. Many appreciate its affordability and the ease of playing CDs. However, some customers note that the radio reception could be improved, and a few wish for higher volume. The lightweight design is also a frequently cited advantage.

Horrible, stay away from this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It powers up but nothing happens -- no CD, no radio, nothing. It wasn't tested until after Best Buy's 15-day return policy, so I'm stuck with a worthless pile of junk.

detachable power cord does not work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this player about 3 hours ago and it does not work. Sadly, this player comes in two submodels "D" and "J". Submodel D is great but sadly I ended up with submodel J which is horrible. The detachable power cord does not work to power the CD player. Took me a moment to realize this as the time will appear on the screen and you can set it. But the screen never lit up and none of the features work. I then realized that the power cord was faulty and does not seat well into the machine. I will be returning it this evening.

Defective CD player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, the CD player malfunctioned. Played 2 tracks, then started skipping in place (electronic noise). Based on the review stats, it seems that 10-15% of CD players regardless of cost sold at Best Buy (and probably everywhere) are defective. Either buy the extended warranty or ride the boombox hard for 14 days ( to fall into the 15 day return policy).
