    For an install over a gas fireplace where the pipes are in the floor and not over the mantel the price for installation of the TV mount was exorbitant! I would think twice before doing that again.

    Guys came to install my tv above my fireplace. Got to pay extra for being above the fireplace but they did not do a neat job. Cables are showing, didn't recommend in extension cords needed.

    Tried to reason with the folks at best buy that this service was not needed. I understand that its there policy but the buyer shouldn't have to be put in the situation on trying to get there money back for a service you that wasn't needed if thats the case it should be determined at time of installation by geek squad

When there’s a question of whether a service is needed or not, it’s usually better to schedule it just in case. If it turned out the service was needed, but wasn’t scheduled, we would likely need to completely reschedule the appointment to get all of the work done.     Cost is silly for people to use a step stool. Could have provided myself.

    TV mount is not long enough.

    As mentioned in another survey. The mount I purchased from Best Buy is a few inches short. Best buy does not sell another and did not indicate to me that I would need another mount. I cannot get behind the TV to set up anything or clean. I would recommend a 32 inch mount if you are hanging from a fireplace inset.

    I was not happy to find out from the technician that they could not mount all of the equipment that the salesman sold us. I now have a mounted television with all the wires showing. Please do something for me about that.

    I feel like I was mislead about this since the ad stated that the TV came with "Free Delivery and Installation". Then they hit me with this because the TV was installed above a fireplace that is already pre-wired and had all the needed support to hold the TV. I was told that the techs require a special tool to install above a fire place but when they showed up, they brought a ladder, a level and a drill. I called customer support and the response i got was "THEY HAVE TO CHARGE THIS FEE IN ORDER TO INSTALL MY TV ABOVE A FIREPLACE". No other explanation provided.....

    Installers were nice but left a big drywall mess

    Install was ok but the installers left a big mess of drywall dust on my mantle and cords were not in a clean, organized fashion behind TV. Basically, just left in a big tangled mess.

    Geek squad did a fantastic job for me on my 75 inch tv. It is centered perfectly, just the way I requested. They showed me how to work everything on the tv. Well worth the e cost.

    Geek's remounted old tv bracked which is designed for older Viera flat panel which they were hired to move. They installed the new tv on old bracket over fireplace and the old tv on the new bracket in another room. I specifically told them not to do this and as a resullt the new tv would not center on wall in new bracket due to spread of the new bracket on older TV...not good. Took all day, wall needed to be repaired not happy

    My TV looks great above my fireplace. Still question the extra $100 charge when the Geek Squad simply used my existing mount.

    The Best Buy guys came in and mounted my TV to the wall right where i want it. hooked every thing up and made it all look neat!! i am very satisfied!

    the job looked "OK" at first. they did not properly sync my cable box or program the remote, have to have another visit "covered by warranty" to fix the stuff should have been done during initial visit. he did not bring the right matierials I had to go to the hardware store while he was here - he was going to leave I had to beg him to stay while I ran to the store.a month later it is falling off the wall

    Overpriced - they should not charge for fireplace

    Charging for a fireplace install is insane - same ladder, same crew, same process... I was mad when we were forced to pay for it and it is pointless now... the problem is they charge what they want... your best option is to not disclose you have a fireplace since everything is the same except the cost.
