The key is good for 2000 points, which can be used to purchase the Map Pass which costs 2000 points on Xbox Live. It is not a code for both the maps and 2000 points. As a bonus you also get the helmets. 2000 points is about $25 ($1 = 80 points), the map packs usually cost $10 (800 points individually) so buying the pass saves you $5 (15%) over buying the three announced map packs individually. This card is more for convenience as the set increments are usually 800, 1600, or 4000 points so you would have points left over. This gives you the exact number you need for the pass.

This product is for the amount of points to DL the Map Pass for Halo 4. You can use it for anything on XBL, however. I can understand how people are confused about what you are recieving given the description, but a little common sense will tell you that you are probably not going to get $25 worth of points along with a $25 Map Pass and two helmets for $25. This is an excellent way to get the maps if you have some gift cards lying around and don't want to spend the whole $25 for the new maps. Some editing/clarification on the description of the product by Best Buy would be beneficial though!

The product claims in it's title to be a Halo 4 map pass WITH 2000 Microsoft points. What I received was a 2000 Microsoft point card that says on the back that the map pass is sold separately. Then later when I tried to cancel the order it said that i would have to call and cancel which I did twice; the first time I was informed to please call back tomorrow, and on the following day when I called they claimed the order couldn't be canceled as it had entered processing and then arrived 6 days later.

Thank you for your review and we apologies for the confusion. This is the correct product. All Microsoft digital purchases provide customers Xbox Live Points to redeem towards the DLC they wanted. The Halo 4 Map Pass is valued at $24.99. You use the 2000 points towards the redemption of the Halo 4 Map Pass purchase. Please follow these steps to redeem your points toward the Map Pass. Redeem your token code and download to your Xbox 360 console: 1. Sign in to My Account. First-time gamers will be prompted to create a new account profile by joining Xbox LIVE. 2. Hit the Xbox Guide on your controller. Go to the Marketplace tab. 3. Select Redeem Code and enter the unique code as shown below. 4. If you purchased Microsoft Points, your account will be credited with the corresponding number of Microsoft Points. 5. If you purchased an Xbox LIVE subscription, your account will be credited for the number of months purchased. 6. If you purchased specific digital content, the download to your Xbox 360 console will begin once you have entered the token code.

I only write this to make a quick point. No Microsoft point card comes with additional content. You're getting the amount of points on the card. Those points can then be used to get content. The branding, in this case Halo, is more of a suggestion of how to use the points. For instance, "Here's 2000 points for your birthday. I suggest you use it to pick up that Halo 4 Map Pass." Or, "I want to pick up the Halo 4 map pack but can't remember how many points I need. Oh! This one says I can get 2000 points for the transaction."

I purchased this card from an email sent to me by Best Buy for my sons. The description gave you the impression that you received the Microsoft points, map pass and two helmets with purchase. I read this carefully before purchasing. Apparently you only receive the points and helmets (?). I have wasted WAY too much time trying to figure out how to download the maps without being double charged and will NOT purchase anything like this again. Waste of time and money. This card is PURPOSELY MISSLEADING. VERY DISAPOINTED!

These points are just like all other Microsoft Points that are available- at retail, you get 80 MSP per $1. These points are sometimes bundled with things like an additional 400 MSP card, which makes this a better deal (2400 MSP for $25, instead of 2000 MSP for $25). Unfortunately, it appears that due to Best Buy's error in not making the product listing crystal clear, a number of customers thought that they would get not only $25 worth of points but also a $25 map pack for Halo 4.... all for $25.

I have the limited edition of Halo 4 that has the War Games Map Season Pass included. So with that being said, this is just a MS points card, e . It will let you download add-ons for games, avatar items, themes, and anything I've left out on the Xbox Marketplace. Normally I just use my credit card to purchase MS points on xbox live - however, this was a gift for my nephew and I don't want to put my credit card on his system for one purchase. Good deal overall.

    Misleading Product title

As mentioned by other review the title of this is misleading. It say, "Microsoft - 2000 Microsoft Points for Xbox LIVE and Halo 4: Map Pass" the word "AND" implies that you receive both the points AND the Map Pass. Instead of "AND" it should say "in order to buy". Otherwise the points cost as much as they do anywhere else.

This item does NOT give you "2000 Microsoft Points for Xbox LIVE and Halo 4: Map Pass" as the title says! It is a card for 2000 Microsoft Points which can be used to purchase the Halo 4: Map Pass. Those are not the same thing at all! This is an incredibly misleading product title!!!

Basically you know what you're buying if you're picking this up. It's a simple points card. Nothing special about it. Not too keen on how they're using labeling to tell you what you can buy with those points, as it feels a bit confusing to some people. Otherwise, you pay $X to get X number of points. No idea how you can rate it low for that!

Obviously there is nothing to go wrong with a plastic card. The real review is the good job done to create a point system for game purchases that allows kids to purchase "credit" they can then use to buy games without having to get a parent to break out the credit card.

Theres not a whole lot to review about this product except it was easy to find in the store and I'm pretty sure I got a betterdeal buying it at Best Buy than the usual game places. It also gave me an extra bonus map for Halo 4 for the purchase so it was an overall great deal.

I purchased this Microsoft Points bundle and am very pleased. I received my bonus points with a hour or two of ordering online. I later got my 1600 points in the mail. :D I even used a gift card to bring the price down even more - couldn't be more happy!

Best Buy is the best place to purchase Microsoft Points because they count toward your Rewards Zone card. Pick it up in the store or order it online and have it sent via email. Points are the way to go. They also make a great gift or stocking stuffer.

You can purchase games or gear on your xbox, for your avatar or game characters, purchase CHARACTERS, or even minutes of karaoke time. I love a good nerd party and all it takes is a card or two on a Saturday night to have a good time.

I had a $25 gift card and wanted to buy Microsoft Points, so this worked out perfectly. I was confused by the Halo livery at first, but you only get the Microsoft Points and nothing else, which is exactly what I wanted.

what really can be said? It's a cheap plastic card that has been given a monetary value to be used for the purchasing of things that people see fit to accept it as currency for. Also its got pretty colors on it ! =D

This product is misleading. Folks cam by 2000 point cards any time with Halo branding. This item comes with the customer perception that they are getting a bonus of the Halo 4 DLC as well as the 2000 points.
