You receive a "key" which is a long series of numbers and/or letters (?) that you need to input once your are on the Microsoft site. It is only a one-year subscription so for those of you looking for a longer term commitment this may not be the software package for you. It is a great way to get an updated, quick download of all your office software. Highly recommended.

Then my wife got a job requiring Excel. Looking for tutorials to brush up on our skills, I found an outstanding interactive tutorial right in the Excel app. We were happy enough that we upgraded to a family package. There comes a time when the upgrade game gets old, and this satisfies that requirement. And as far as I’m concerned, this still beats the pants off Open Office.

It is more economical and convenient to buy this kind of subscription since I can install it on my macbook, iphone, ipad, and my other laptop rather than buying the one-time office version for each of my equipment. This way I get also the latest version of microsoft office, due to the unlimited updates or downloads for the whole year/365 days.
